In any case, Rafa now needs to think about signing at least one quality winger of some sort to help provide service for Torres & co.

Florent Malouda seems to have set his heart on a move to Chelski and Simao has been a long-time Benitez target but I'd personally like to see Ricardo Quaresma come to Liverpool.

True, but my source is saying the second proposed medical yesterday was cancelled due to a fee not agreed and that he will drop the name of the player after the Torres stuff is out the way today. Hmm

Let me say first i really dont like Liverpool, but i must admit i can see a very good season ahead for you guys. You've now got the world class striker you've needed for so long and a really strong squad overall.

Your midfield lineup is looking to be arguebly the best in the league now gerrard, Sissoko, Mascherano, Pennant(who i thought played really well last season), Alonso and the list goes on.

Only thing missing is goals from the Midfield. Only Gerrard will get more than 2-3 from the current lot (possibly Kewell too if his legs hold together).
Badly missed Garcia's 10+ goals last season and the little bit of spark he provided in tight games, will be the same this year unless he is replaced.

His Premiership inconsistency and frustrating-to-watch carelessness with the ball won't be missed, though.

That said, you're right - more midfield creativity/flair is needed.

Luis garcia made mistakes, yes. but he added a lot and, if he was played high up enough (ie up front) then the eroors were far far outweighed by the tricks and running off the ball. Quality player and will be missed - I never thought I'd say that about him cos I also thought him a bit wasteful. He has it where it counts.
