The Qatar idea sounds cool though with the super stadia complex all next to each other.
I guess if it's hot in the summer over there we'd better get our excuses ready for another disappointment then.

Russia I can understand, although I'm bitterly disappointed...but Qatar?!?!...WTF is going on there???...surely Australia would have been a better bet if FIFA want a legacy and a country that's never hosted a tournament. This just stinks of Blatter and co. having their wallets lined with Middle East oil money...corrupt scum bags!

We would have never got it anyway. I've not much time for the BBC and their Timing, but it made little difference.

And I think the Qatar wining bid is a compete joke. **** it, bring on Saturday football , miuch better than the world Cup anyway

Summer temps in Qatar are average of 40-41 degrees...

So with those temps, I guess it'll be a South American side who win it...

I have a feeling the Qatari team in 2022 will be laced with outside help. A few years back they were trying to nationalise a lot of south americans to play for them. It was blocked by Fifa I believe but now I think it will happen.

Qatar will compete. Might put a bet on!

The whole thing is corrupt, or you forgetting England giving away designer handbags. Its all about you scratch my back i'll scratch yours, and there's no smoke without fire about the delegate's taking bribes.

There's only so long you can trade of Sir david beckham, an overrated league, the legacy of '66...oh, and Prince William.

There's not been an interesting world cup since 1990 anyway, so I wouldn't get too upset about it.

So the next 3 World Cups are in Brazil, Russia, and Qatar....how wonderfully accessible for those of us in Blighty...

FIFA - almost as corrupt as politicians!!

Shocking decision in Qatar a world cup there with zero atmosphere just like the last one.

Russia have a lot to do to sort racism and violence before 2018 too.

Oh no, I haven't forgotten about the handbags...but I bet the bung from Qatar is a worth a little more

It's called the World Cup for a Reason. There was Italy in 90, France in 98 and Germany in 06, so there have been plenty of tournamounts on the doorstep in recent times. It's not just about England, as much as many in this here country would like to think.
