I think we can safely say that when chelsea announced they had a new striker, he was the first person who came to everyone's mind...

Still, he wouldn't have been signed if he didn't have potential and if he's rubbish, all we've lost is some wages.

Great free kick from Deco but other than the goal we haven't pressed too hard and Wigan have been strong. Wigan are fouling us left right and centre, John Terry fouls someone and gets a yellow card for his first challenge.

Need another goal, Wigan could easily equalise.

Schevchenko out and, judging from reports, Robinhou is on the verge of signing.

Can only strengthen our squad. For all the bad mouthing we get, I'd say we've spent pretty wisely (asuming we don't spend an insane amount for Messi)

I'm actually quite amazed if this Kaka bid is real. Great player, no doubt, but the thing is, Chelsea already have an over abundance of talent. And top, top talent isn't happy say on a bench - we're talking real talent here, not SWP "in it for the pay cheque".

Rob will be a great signing, and competition in a squad is a good thing. It does seem like they're trying to buy back the league title again though

Belleti scored a freak goal there but it was coming. Nice to see we can turn on the pace when required(and not just at 80 minutes a la Grant). Anelka has been misfiring a bit.

I don't think you really need anyone "urgently" mate. You've a large enough squad as it is! He's another [great] option but if he was that amazing, Madrid would be paying him enough so he didn't want to leave.

Just because it's a large squad doesn't mean it's not lacking in some areas.

Honestly, I don't think it's lacking anywhere! Maybe another striker. Your midfield is solid, a great mix of creative and defensive players. Good at the back, good fullbacks, great keeper.
