That's a shame, always thought he seemed a nice humble guy whilst at Arsenal and a decent chap, whether it's performance enhancing or recreational he wouldn't be the first name that springs to mind if you are told somebody failed a drug test.

Apparently 'specified substance' means something that is normally in the body, but has been found at abnormal levels. Testosterone, adrenalin etc...

Could be medical reasons for it, which is why they'll test a B sample as well.

Ban is 2 years if they can't provide a reason for it.

That's interesting, I was under the impression most clubs did their own testing and the FA tended not to get involved.

It might be he's tested for a masking substance that doesn't provide a boost in itself but is used to cover up the proper stuff. Nasal sprays for colds are apparently the most common 'false positive' for these.

I'll take 0-0 at the Arse any day of the year.

on way back from the game, Sunderland were a bit more attacking in first half but parked the bus in 2nd.

no team will ever win a title with denilson, diaby and rosicky playing, the first 2 being utterly dire today.

would like to see move again where arshavin given offside, in realtime looked v close

Happy with the win over Villa, who seem to be one of our bogey teams. Plus they had Bent, who scores against us for fun.

Apparently we almost got yer near the end though, through Wellbeck!

BBC live text thing reckoned it was onside.

yeah, Sunderland hid in their shells for the entire 2nd half then realised we were a bit crap and fragile and had a go for a couple of mins, wellbeck bought a good save from wjchodgzxsnyz

always good to hear title hopes dashed on a dodgy flag !

That is true. However, you should have put a bunch of skanks like Sunlun to the sword from the first whistle! Fancy allowing us to have 55% possession in the first half.

I knew we'd be fragile today, hangover from the milk cup final an eye on barca, I had it down as a 1-1 draw mainly cos we are quite predictable like that.

another wasted home opportunity, these games will cost us the title (WBA, Newcastle, spurs), too many dropped home points

                        That was unforgivable...
In fact, both games vs the Mags were. The stuff of Nightmares.

Radio said it was onside, but the linesman didn't have decent view because of the angle of the run.

You get a feeling sometimes watching in the ground even if your angle isn't great and i thought as soon as he burst thru and looked to finish without a glance it must have v close.

Didn't get a sight at all of Bramble shoving arshavin over, just assumed he'd shanked his shot under pressure but there are claims from Wenger of a shove ,though a manager in a post match conference isn't the most reliable narrator.

I think the radio said for that that Bramble fell over, and manage to shove Arshavin as he went down. Could've been an accident, could've been a very clever way to not make it look like a foul.
