Strange really. You get more turns lock to lock on the wheel like a real road car, but a race car is more likely than not going to have more direct steering. Pity the wheel doesn't set up the degrees of rotation accoding to the type of car you are driving.
Having said that it is a real experience fighting with the steering at over 250 mph on the Mulsanne straight.Last edited by Bassman; 08-03-2005, 10:31.

This should be my last questionedit - beter make it clear that i don't have a pro but am quite sure it has a more powerful motor.
also i don't think real racing cars have 900 degree steering wheel rotation?Last edited by msm13579; 08-03-2005, 10:59.

I got the GT4 this weekend and I?m very pleased with it.
Unfortunately I made a mistake and bought the Caterham Fire Blade (or whatever) for 60.000 credits, just to find out that I cannot use this car in any of the events. (and I get only 13.000 credits should I sell it again)
They should have included some kind of description like in GT3, or some notice that you cannot take part in events with this car.
It would also been helpful to tell what the differences between a V-spec and b-spec (or similar) Skyline models are. I know they vary in weight but I would like to know more there.
However, I?m very surprised how much fun the photo travel mode is.
The graphical quality of the backdrops and the car itself is stunning.
I think it?s a very original idea and one that should really be in every serious driving game.
And of course, an in-car perspective would have been great - not with all the fittings, just behind the windscreen outside or inside of the car to get a better impression of really being in that car. (and some roadsters already have all the controls and instruments modelled)
As expected, the DFP wheel works excellent here.
Whenever an opponent touches my car?s tail, I will know it from the force feedback response of the wheel.
It really became part of the experience and helps me to evaluate what the car is doing and how to prevent it from getting out of control.
However, I set the FF effects to the lower settings, so it doesn?t get too much in the way of smooth driving.

my first few hours with the US NTSC version and i must say am pretty disappointed with the game so far.
ARCADE MODE is a bad joke! i had a few runs with a RUF 911 and the car just refuses to take grip and to turn in into corners! i saw myself turning into cornes at city limit speed. that's ridiculous!
GT MODE seems ok, but i lost all my progress while doing the B license test! it seems the autosave function doesn't work the way i thought it should!
480p & 1080i support is of the poorest quality i have ever seen. vertical lines like an EM interference grid all over the screen. in 1080i it's subtle but in 480p it's very obvious and annoying. the graphics in 480i are lacking detail and are looking washed out.
the game can get only better for me - hopefully.

Strange nobody else has complained about the high res modes. I belong to various American GT Forums.
What were you doing with the memory card to cause problems? I am up to day 360 or so on the American versions without a problem.
I've never noticed any differences in Physics between Arcade and GT Mode. Not tried the RUF though.
