I think God of War and RE4 are the only games I`ve really enjoyed again straight after.

By the time I`d got the handcoannon on RE4 I never wanted to play it again, though. Not touched it for about 6 months!

Maybe, but some stuff could be mentioned.

I only just discovered that you can hold the X button when on the horse. Previously i'd been tapping for different speeds. By holding he dosent slow down, as usually when he clips a wall say he'll drop down to middle speed, and means you can gallop in a given direction with less micromanagement.

For the water colossus which nero1001 mentions above, i found

that swimming after is good, but also if he's coming towards him swim under his armpit to get to his back and climb up. If you try to swim around its very difficult, but under his arm is super quick.

I'm fairly certain that this is more than a direct prequel to Ico than first thought. If someone could tell me how to use spoiler tags I will elaborate.

Until then, I think it would be suffice to say that the end of this game marks the first point in time when the protagonist in Ico was afflicted by his problem.

There is a reason why he is sent away, and it is nothing to do with Ico personally...

I never thought I'd have the latest game from the ICO team making me destroy my joypad in frustration.

Hard Time Attack is rock hard, but then I suppose it's named 'Hard' for a reason.

Finished this last night and I have to say it is an absolute corker of a game. In my opinion it is much better than ICO, which I didn't find too revolutionary tbh. This was a different kettle of fish though and I think I really loved that undiluted level of emersion. The ending really affected me, which rarely happens in a game.

Favourite colossi were number 5, 11, 13. But they were all brilliant...

One joypad and five hours of game time later, I've completed Hard Time Attack.

Some of the extras for hard are great too. Nero you were right about the

Cloth of Desperation. It's great ^_^. I'm already getting images of jumping off the temple bridge right now. The Shaman's Mask (which Emon wears) is fantastic too, as is the Queen's Sword from ICO. Looking forward to replaying through Hard on the white horse as well.

There's some good rewards made available for getting through Hard Time Attack.

The colossi I found hardest were incidentally three and four. The rest, while no push over, were fairly beatable.

Anyway. Looks like I have another reason to play through the game again (on Hard with the white horse). What's this? My 11th time now?

Not from the PAL release, obviously.

From last October onwards - six on Normal, five on Hard (if you count the one I'm starting now).

Three and Four on Hard Time Attack were driving me crazy earlier on... so I took a break for a few hours, lo and behold, I beat them on my first go back. Just shows what a clear head can do and what a frustrated head can't. That'll teach me.

I can see myself completing it quite a few more times.

I can't believe how easily I've dispatched 9,10,11 & 12 - they all caused me huge problems first time round... but 11 in particular, it was almost over the moment it began!

I'm curious though, do people follow it out of the temple after it's fallen? I tried this a few times but it would always get up before I could reach him. Instead I just shoot it from above and wait for it to climb back up.

Was nice being able to tackle 12 with a clear idea of how to do it from the get-go. It gave me a chance to savour the atmosphere without the frustration.

I jump down to the ledge below and then do the downward stabbing jump onto it. Hang on while it runs back into the temple, jump off and climb back onto a fire pillar, when it has rammed it I stab jump back onto him and stab stab stab! Its a pretty wild ride though

Yeah Concept, I keep forgetting this has been out for ages cos I'm a PAL PS2 leper

                              Hi Guys!

I`m new here to NTSC-UK and I`d just like to say how wonderful it is to see all of you guys sharing your SotC experiences, tricks and tips with each other, it is refreshing to see.

I too love this game and have spent many an hour on it since its PAL release. I`ve finished normal mode, normal time attack, hard mode and hard time attack, the only thing I haven`t done is the temple climb but as the NTSC versions vertical jump glitch has been taken care of it is very difficult.

I didn`t have as much trouble as concept with hard time attack but I too also found number 4 to be a royal pain in the ass! There were some of them where I could`ve started the clock, gone and made a brew and a bacon butty and then finished em off I had that much time left over but number 4 was right down to virtually the last second!

Looking through the previous pages I think most things have been discussed and discovered but if there is any help you guys need post up and I`ll see if I can help.

On the subject of the temple climb, does your grip meter stay beefed up when you start a follow-on game in hard mode? Or should I make sure my lizard hunting efforts have not been in vain and try to get up there before I finish my normal game?
