Or you can play really laggy games online. Makes it really easy to see when you should be doing what to counter etc.

Or makes it really easy to see where you should have countered but then proceded to get beat about the head repeatedly, albeit in slow motion. An all too familiar experience for me

Yeah, the lag-free games were much better...

...because the beatings my ass took were over with faster.

The stick's awesome like all the other Hori sticks available. It has all the other features of a regular 360 controller so you can access the dashboard anytime as well. Sticks are the best for all fighters in my opininon which is certainly true in this case if you want to get the most from the game.

Yep I second that the stick is the absolute business - Tried using the pad after a good few hours of stick use and it was utterly hopeless.

Had a quick go on this. Graphically it seems like DOA Ultimate in higher res. Which means it certainly looks slick and runs at 60fps but not the strongest 360 title out there in this department (top 5 though). What really irks me is how crap longer hair looks. Since DOA2 they still haven't been able to sort out this blatant defect. Backgrounds all look gorgeous however, and some in particular are outstanding (casino or dojo stage anyone?).

Gameplay is awesome and I can feel some of the changes already despite my brief flirtation with the system. Don't know why some people are harping on about the difficulty for; breezed through story mode with Hitomi only continuing once on my first go on the game (on normal). Then did time attack with Hayabusa. Final boss went down after two attempts. Anyway, can't wait to get stuck in some more later. Things are looking good so far.

I dunno - going from the soup-play back to lightening fast was wrecking me last night - You're right though.

                Match 1 - 4-5 minutes (win)
                Match 2 - 40 seconds (lose)

                  hmmm,

the insane difficulty is really putting me of this TBH. The difficuly levels seem really mixed up. I mean on 'Normal', being beat 10 times in a row by stage 4? Learning the moves does help, but the speed, timing and accuracy of the combos the CPU fires at you, sometimes the the life bar can be stripped without even getting one hit in. FFS, its normal difficulty; surely if i want that i`ll stick it on very hard??

Hmm, running my 360 through a TFT via VGA, and my DOA4 is fullscreen 4:3. I mean its the correct aspect ratio, but with the console set to 1280x1024 like normal, Kameo/Condemned etc run in perfect widescreen 720p.

Am I missing something or is there no widescreen mode?

Managed to button mash my way through the story mode to unlock the extra characters.

Now its time to concentrate on learning a specific character, and its going to be Ryu

Anybody know if any sites with move lists for him yet ??

Is it me or is this TOUGH? Get to stage 8 on story mode (no idea how far in that is) and I just cant win. Superb fun though, and it runs/looks amazing.

I'm struggling a little with it, never played a DOA game before though. Any suggestions as to a good character to start with? Liking the guy with the sword and the drunken master so far...

The Bruce Lee dud is good for newbies apparently, I am going to attempt to master Ryu though

You can look at the whole of his move list in-game. Start > Command list.

Or do the "Exercise" option in the sparring mode.

Yep I know that but I want to find a site that lists what the move does as well as its name
