Tell you what though mind, PDZ may be rushed and less than perfect, but where I tried really hard to find games like F.E.A.R, Quake 4, Doom 3 and the like vagely interesting, PDZ is one of the only recent FPS's that I enjoy from the bat.

It's actually fun, unlike other FPS's avaliable today which take themselves too seriously.

Well, its taken a while for me to get a proper go of the VS modes on live but it was well worth the wait. Played about 6 Team Killcount games last night and ended up loving it. Took me a few 0 kill games to get into the feel of it but once I got my head round the weapons and worked out exactly what will kill an enemy I had a great time

The battles are much more tactical than Halo. There were points last night where my team were trying to storm a base and were all held up at the top of a hill, while the other team were positioned around the walls of the base and some on the ground, each person trying to get a lethal shot on someone, it makes for some great stand off battles and when you get in close its just as solid.

Seeing folk fly around on jet packs while you battle on the ground is amazing and this is beginning like it could be the perfect replacement for Halo 2. As soon as you get the Halo vive out of your head and the way you play, this game comes into its own. It takes some time to get use to the controls and the weapons but when you do it really opens itself up and becomes a great FPS.

I cant wait to get into the live play more and get my acheivements unlocked. Liked it yesterday when had only breezed over live VS... absolutely love it now that I have given it a good bit of time and am use ot the way it plays. So glad I stuck with it, my live play is gonna be dominated by this and PGR3 for months!!

EDIT: Read back at Jassi Singhs comments there and have to say I TOTALLY agree with every bit of it. Multiplayer live play is su-****en-perb and I cant wait to get it on again. When you get your head around it, it is absolutely stunning.

Had a few hilarious games last night. A Yank had figured out I was playing from the UK and proceeded to shout things like "This is an American made system bitch! AMERICAN MADE. You don't deserve to play on it". When I pointed out to him that PDZ was developed in the UK he shut up. In another game some guy was telling someone else how he "listens to Craig David in his underpants".

Given most 360 owners are early adopting hardcore gamers, it worries me a bit about the mental condition of gamers in general.

So are people struggling when up close or not? Unless you have the shotgun it's almost impossible to hit anything, and trying to melee attack something is a wasted effort!

I just don't know how anyone can play this game. I do think its a good game, and I do enjoy it somewhat, but I still haven't f'ing play the damn thing to save my life!

              Any tips?

I know what you mean man, but you just get to grips with it after a while, that's all. The game just doesn't try to babysit players like many console FPS's do.

Played a few more games on this last night, and enjoying it more. I'm finding that you have to force your self to slow down somewhat, play a little more tactically attempting to aim and go for the headshots, even if it means taking fire at the same time.

I'm loving the grenade enabled weapons lobbing those into doorways etc, is a very satisfying kill. Would not give up on the melee attacks either, if you can land one from behind it seems to be an instant kill alla halo, and also works well once you've taken someones armour off with a few shots, and then thwack them a couple of times for a kill.

I'm not really liking the limited ammo though, or what appears to be limited ammo. Combined with the lack of auto aim it does make it very difficult to take someone down without having to both reload ! It makes for comical moments of reloading when both players have emptied a clip and are both watching each other reload. Need to get used to not trying to fire when the gun is empty to, as that delays the time it takes to reload.

What is the tertiary fire button ? I know secondary fire come from RB, but for the life of me don't know how to activate tertiary fire

What are people favourite map ? I love the snow tower, although it appears to be a map that needs 32 players on to take full advantage of !

Tertiary fire is right trigger + right button.

Subway is probably my fave map.

Melee from behind is instant kill... nailed one last night with some lad thinking he had a great sniper spot... CRACK... his body falls to teh dirt, hehehe. Really loving this now and Simmy is spot on with having to slow things down to get your game sorted, much more tactical and makes for some fantastic firefights!!

That reminds me, I haven't played Halo lately.

What I was finding a good trick last night was when engaged in a fire fight, rather than reload, I was instantly switchin to my other weapon when the clip was empty to finish the job... a standard move I know, but really helped me out of some tight battles last night. Of course, if you dont finish them off with the second weapon you are ****ed

Love the way the armour indicates what kind of health state a player is in. Helps you work out how many shots you gonna need to take a boy down... I love, love, love it!!
