Im exactly the same m8, i find it so difficult to aim, and i cannot understand why???! It just feels "floaty" compared to halo's precision accuracy?!!!! It takes a whole clip to kill someone too, apart from headshots!!

The well implemented Co-op is the only thing thats keeping me from trading this in at the mo! Multi is absolutly shocking! Cant even tell whats going on half the time, no teamwork/tactics! The only thing that will beat halo 2 multi, will be halo 3 - END OF

      Horses for courses

CoD2 bored me to tears, whereas PDZ gets better and better everytime the difficulty level is increased. I haven't enjoyed a single player fps as much as this since Halo.

It may not match Golden Eye or the original PD, but i'm finding it to be leagues ahead of more recent titles like FEAR, Quake 4 etc - especially in terms of combat and replayability (even going back to the mighty HL2 revealed horribly dated, tame, and dull combat in comparison)

      Co-op is great

I'm not finding it that impressive online, though, very spammy, hectic stuff. PDZ doesn't have the auto aim found in Halo either - certainly making it harder to aim.

THats what I thought it was, the auto aim is missing in PDZero, hence it is harder to nail enemies. Seems fair enough if tou ask me and so far all the games I have had, especially the co-op stuff has been great. Even the split screen co-op is amazing fun!!

            Auto-Aim ????

I had no problems playing Darkops yesterday - was well impressed with the 18 players and no noticeable lag I exerienced - And managed quite a few headshots.

I think people need time to adjust after being consumed with Halo2 for a year - Left trigger is zoom remember headshots come quick & fast if you utilise it.

The precision is not Halo2 standard but I'm not complaining.

            Infected mode is great

Single player is fun enough - pleasantly surprised replaying a level and finding lots of alternative options should be interesting when I ramp up the difficulty and open up the options a bit more.

Coop is absolutely superb - so solid. Bungie better be taking note as I expect this in Halo3 and no excuses will be tolerated - If you still need a new coop buddy gimme a shout S1mmy am always up for some !!

I'm amazed how many people are making informed "Hate it/Love it" decisions after having the machine & selection of games for 4 days !!! I've not given any 1 game the time needed yet despite my comments above

You're playing different game to me then - My CoD2 has to have one of the worst MP interfaces I've seen since I dunno what.

I have to select a game type, wait to see if the thing decides to plop me in a lobby or create a new one with me as host, then invite people in then when the game ends it boots us all right out to the menu again.

It's good once you get a game going (i.e Search & Destroy) but it's so lazily executed - It seems like a direct port of the PC - first xbox game I've ever seen that tells you what your ping is !!

Still a great game mind - but the development rush shows !

There is auto aim in the options, and it defaults to on. It's so slight that there is very little difference with it on or off.

In Halo the crosshair would stick to the enemy when it was over them - making it far easier to track a target and twitch aim without flying passed them. Not so in PDZ. The fast look option also kicks in quite early, and not when the stick is fully to the left or right as stated in options. As a result it's quite easy to over aim, especially if you're used to playing Halo.

It just takes a little while to adjust - you can't get away with heavy handed sweeps of the analogue stick in PDZ.

I think that is the biggest problem, people aint giving this a chance... because we have been so immersed in Halo FPS land we are finding it hard to adjust to the way PD works. I felt a bit unsure at first and TBH, wasn't overly impressed after the first mission but after another un through, some co-op on live and some Multiplayer matches I am beginning to find my feet with it.

Thanks to the ridiculous number of hours I have out into CoD, i now very rarely aim unless I have the scope up and am the better for it.

There aint any need for auto aim, we have been wrapped in cotton wool with Halo and although it seemed hard at first I am finding the aiming to be spot on, like all big changes it will take time, it grows on you

Gotta laugh at the auto aim thing - It had a real love hate thing going on with all players on halo. They loved the fact it made them FPS gods but hated to admit that they liked it, for fear of being flamed to death by PC players. I don't think autoaim suits PDZ though ! To me the game is all about sneaking around, learning enemy positions, and taking them out using the zoom aim etc. But this type of play just does not work for kill count, as there is no time to aim like that, and without autoaim on you can't hit ****.

Going to have to give Dark ops a try, I joined a dark ops game the other night by accident, and it did look like it would be alot more tactical than the mess which is kill count. Could not figure out how the hell to buy weapons though, so I quit like some cheap yank

I think you are absolutely right, and I would say that the aim in PDZ is if anything slightly more accurate than Halo I'm just not sure I have the stick skill or coordination to get many accurate shots away without an autoaim type function, in a mayhem deathmatch game like kill count.

I have to say though I love the snow level, the sound of crunching snow underfoot is inspired !!!!!

The use of the cover will be another underused online feature with folk running around mental instead of using cover, etc.

I fired up a game just agsint bots to get a feel for some of the maps, started running around like a headless chicken and got slaughtered. They were doing the same though so it didnt really matter, hehehe. BUT, once I started using cover at the right times and moving from cover to cover it became a lot better.

Being behind cover, then aiming using the zoom and firing is lovely, takes some practice but once you get the aiming down the game works really, REALLY well!!

Doesn't aiming from cover expose your position though ? I always seem to get hit in the SP game, when using aim from cover !

Yeah I find aiming from cover extremely tricky to get right - usually end up spraying shots everywhere and taking a few in the mouth in exchange

Plus what is cover from one direction is standing blind from another and when a boy is pumping bullets into your tits whilst you're admiring the view it's not good

Yea dude i do totally agree that the game has a shambloic interface. and its a real shame as the MP is SO good. that's the point i was making. the actual
MP GAME is far far better than PDZ. It's true that MP COD2 is a real missed opertunity as the Live service/interface side is B0rk3d to the max!.
