I'm having the same problem too shipping soft goals - are you using RB to get the ball under at all?
I do use it, but not in defence really where im more concentrating on winning the ball. Its when i win it that it seems to bobble around a lot or my player will try to do a turn that takes an age when i really didnt want them to.

will add you tonight mate, forgot to last night

I just can't get the hang of PES6.

Due to various commitments the last 2 weekly pes sessions with mates were cancelled, and as a result I came to PES6 after not playing PES5 for a fortnight. I figured this was no bad thing as there's always a period of adjustment with each version - I'd read that PES6 was quite alot slower - so the more time between versions could help ease the change.

Firstly, the passing - it seems to be completely different. Over the last few days my little guys have been kicking the ball straight into touch in situations that would have resulted in a standard pass in previous versions. Any suggestions? it feels very strange.

And then there's the pace of the game. I knew it was slower, but not untill loading up PES5 30 mins ago did I realise just quite how much slower it was - it's the most slugggish footy game i've ever played! Never has there been this much difference between PES versions - chalk and cheese.

I've always disrgarded those who didn't move over to the latest PES for not giving them a decent chance, quietly sniggering at a mate who refuses to move on from PES3. Well, I guess it's my turn to be a stick in the mud - PES6 is a crock! It's like someone managed to find all the elements that make PES a fun footy game and cover them in glue.

                  bah humbug.

I have done the opposite 360 turn from liking it to hating it now. The bugs in this game are so apparent its funny, the online system (rankings and all) is a sham, doesn't show any true skill at all. The defensive AI is appalling, it is almost as bad a FIFA, defenders stumbling over each other and everything. Defending is just a complete shambles, its all about luck and no skill. When you do go forward and attack the passing is sluggish and slow, with passes rolling to your players at times. Shooting is pot luck too, you can pretty much score every time if you go at a certain angle at the keeper or persistantly cross the ball in the box hoping for bobbles off defenders so the ball falls for you. At times the shooting is sublime and when it is you think you got the hang of it and then you're bemused when you sky a shot after just tapping the shoot button. It pains me alot to bad mouth any pro evo game but this is the worst one I have played ever. It's the best football game on the 360, but only by default,

I got the 360 version yesterday, and played it today. I was expecting to be appalled, but it seems just like PE4/5.

The first thing I noticed was the proper widescreen image and sharper resolution. It's the same game, only a bit easier on the eye.

There isn't slow-down, or any notable sluggishness. Some players move quite slow, like Crouch, but I think it could be a positive design update.

All in all, from a couple of hours in single-player, I think it's fundamentally the same game, only tweaked and changed a bit.

The only real bad points I noticed, were the player models. They still have a stiff wooden look to them, and seem just as unreal, though some moments can look impressive. The faces look horrendous. Crouch has a rat face, and most players look worse than they did on the XB1.
The pitches aren't as attractive as I desire. A couple look good, but most look gloomy and depressing. Better than on the PS2/XB1 though!

Overall.. I think lots of people are being too harsh towards the game. Only real hardcore pro evo players will notice gameplay elements that may be a bit negative. Your average football-game fan will find the game to be the same old Pro-Evo, only a bit different. ( that's how I feel! )

Obviously.. I haven't played it enough yet to really form a well rounded opinion, but once I try Live and play it all a bit more, I am confident it will be a game I enjoy for many months!

Like PES4? Is he havin' a laugh? Is he havin' a laugh?

Pro Ev' 4 ran like lightening > Look

The 360 version is like the slow replay

Dont get me wrong, I'm enjoying the 360 lots now, but it's still different than the rest.

Me and a friend have been switching between PES5 and 6 since my last post. The difference is very obvious. PES5 (at 480p widescreen on the 360) is much faster, both in terms of ball movement and running.

No. 5 is frantic and just 'flows' well. No.6 is far more measured and slow in it's build up (and, imo, quite boring). Gameplay wise they couldn't feel much more different. Seriously, load it up and have a go.
