I have a problem with the lantern.
I have filled it up at the shop in the village and got across the purple mist thanks to the monkey but when he returned it to me it was empty - I need to use it to burn the spiderweb but can't get back across the mist to buy more oil now that its empty
Is this me screwed or can I get some oil from somewhere else?
EDIT:
so thats what that green stuff does

I find fishing incredibly tedious also (with fish involved that's hardly a surprise, though) - there doesn't seem to be enough controls available, which is odd as when you go into the Fishing Area it is great fun and really straight forward.
I'm not sure why they changed the controls away from one area when it works so well.
Spag - i'm pretty sure that was meant to happen. There should be a way

Yeah, I doubt there was much of a 'timeline' plan. Most of the theories hinge on what it says in old instruction manuals too and I'm sure most of us remember that old instruction manuals were, in general, cack and were written by monkeys who may never have seen the game, never mind actually talk to the developers.
