I have a couple more questions I hope someone can help with.

Put in spoilers just in case:

    1.

After you do the sumo wrestling at your home village is there any way to go back and do it again? At the moment, i go to the mayors house and he just talks about his daughter.

    2.

How do i get back into Jovani's house (the one you have to collect the poe's for?). I only have 17 Poe's at the moment, but i was in Hyrule Castle town and could not find a way back to his house.

    Help would be most appreciated.

    Cheers

Hey, I'm not sure about your first question, I've completed the game but not gone back to that area yet.

In castle town, head towards the middle, then turn south and take the first turning on Link's right, you should come down an alley way which has a green area on the right full of cats. Warp into the Wolf form, turn on your senses and dig a hole on the right hand side of the door.

      Can someone tell me if:

When trying to get the FROG lure in the fishing mini game (god its infuriating lol) what can I catch with it? And has anyone found any other lures? I found a sinking lure, which is apparently "illegal" but seems to catch all the fish, the majority of the time!

        Cheers Achoo,

May I ask where you found the

        Sinking lure

That minigame in the fishing hut is frustrating - i am stuck on level 1-7 and im finding it near impossible

Is there anybody out there who knows whether I have the option to

          sumo wrestle

          again.

I found it really fun and fancy doing it again!

Well my stuff my crack with cement and let it dry, if this is not the most refreshing game I have played in years!!

Currently 17 hours, 2 dungeons and masses of fun in so far and cant wait to get back on with more adventuring. Am just about to head into the water temple in Lake Hyrule so all kitted out for it and ready to go.

Having not played a Zelda game all the way through before I came at this with small expectations and a lot of excitement... thankfully everything I could have hoped for has been delivered so far. The challenge in the puzzles, the fun in the combat system and the sheer scale of the world you are in, when it all clicked together about 1 hour in I couldn't stop smiling and that smile remains every time I play it

Absolutely love the twilight stuff aswell with wolf link, who totally kicks all sorts of ass and really looking forward to seeing where things go from here with the light spirits restored and Link well kitted out. The last thing I done last night was gather enough money to buy the Hylian shield and it looks sooooooooo good on Links back and I cant wait to really start using it. Also, Horseback fighting with sword and bow = gaming magic!!

Its so good to see Nintendo not getting caught up in the next gen power race and take a different approach to their system. What it lacks in power the Wii more than makes up for in charm and fun and if Zelda is a sign of things to come with the console we really are in for some good times.

I've gone back to this after deciding to stop until my component cable arrived, and I'm loving it again. I've just done the part when you enter the

              Hidden Village

and that was the coolest sequence I've seen in ages. I'd noticed the Western influences in Kakariko Village but that just really took it and ran with it. I love this game and I'm just disappointed that I'm getting towards the end

                Hey Cohen:

after you have caught all the fish available in the lure pond, you need to get your normal fishing rod out and go towards the left hand side furtherest bank and start float fishing. I caught it the spinning (sinking lure) near to there! As to the mini game, apparently the last level is 1:8 and thats when you get the frog lure! I have not completed it yet, but I hope to soon.

                  Wow!!

I just completed the Gamecube version of Zelda this morning. It's by far and away one of the most enjoyable games I've played recently, if not ever. It was so rich with detail, humour, drama, mini-games and side-quests. It oozed such an epic feel...

What an outstanding game... Really an acheivement of the action-adventure genre. I just feel sad that it'll be 4 or 5 years before I'll get anything quite like that again.

Anyway, it was gorgeous. Definitely up there with Ico, SotC, etc. Probably the definitive 3D Zelda game. It's easily my game of 2006.
Everyone play it now! It doesn't matter if you play the GC or the Wii version, they're both superb games.

I've been reading some earlier pages. The discussion about the repitition of elements throughout the series is definitely a good point. Like others, I knew that certain rocks were for bombs and certain points were for the Hookshot (

though I was constantly grumpy that it was called the Clawshot

) but this didn't bother me at all. If anything, I was grinning like a little kid. I had a huge bag of sweets that I was devouring, and it was just an indicator that there was something delicious hiding away a little bit deeper.
In fact, that's how I continued to feel right throughout the game.

If anything, it's playing to the fans a bit too much. This is the first Zelda that my girlfriend's played (bar some sketchy memories of LttP), and while she was very eager to start, she's not finding various bits and pieces so logical. Like it was already said, we're seasoned gamers. For instance, we know that sometimes you have to try something and fail at it to trigger a flag for the next event. That's not really logical - by failing something you've accomplished nothing and in a game world it should make no difference.
Anyway, it's interesting to see the things that she finds frustrating and the things that really appeal to her. I've already been surprised with the ease with which she works out certain things, and which seemingly logical puzzles totally fox her.

                    Omgz, scientific study!

                      I've 5 hours in and I'm

seemingly stuck on the first dungeon where the monkey helps out.

Is 5 hours to this point average going?

Got to a brilliant place last night, the

                        lost village

I love the western feel of it, but i didnt delve deep into it, cos it was 2 am and i had to be up at 6.30

Quick question for any Zelda Veterans -

Where is the howling stone for me to change day into night, and vice versa? Been looking all over and cant seem to find it!

                        Cheers

There is none - howling stones just teleport you to the skeletal warrior whom teaches you secret tecniques.

Just completed the Goron Mines. 15 hours in and only just finished the second dungeon... can't really say I've been mucking about either.

                            Just got into

                            Hyrule Castle

after following a minge scent and saved. Lots to do tonight,

                            plenty of ghosts running about.

Ohh right, i thought i read somewhere that you can

                              change between night and day

Ah well, its not the end of the world

                                No, that was Majora's Mask

It ticks over rapidly enough that I was never wanting for something to change it like that should I need to go insect or poe hunting.
