Really enjoying this game.

The handling seems spot on to me, it took quite a while to get the hang of it but now I have I wouldn't change it at all.

Still struggling a bit on the bikes as I've avoided using them as much as possible until now lol.

The handling isn't easy...which is a good thing! It's surprised me just how good it's got after putting the work into learning the controls. There's nothing quite like lining 3 or 4 competitors up and boosting into one to wipe out all the others!!!

Got this through the letterbox today after umming and ahhing after playing the demo. Seems a bit more polished, but boy, I am finding it incredibly hard! I'm going all over the show!

Anyone have any good tips on controlling these vehicles?!

Best I can muster is 2nd on the very first track so far. I can barely rank on the second one.

Graphically this game is a stunner!

Edit: I've just remembered what the handling reminds me of. Stunt Race F/X on the SNES. That was all wobbly and bouncy too. Not so sure thats a good thing tbh.

It won't take too long to start getting the hang of it.

Keep practicing on the first track as you can choose vehicles there. The reason it's difficult is because you usually have at least one wheel off the ground at a time...not good on bikes!

I think half the battle is knowing the tracks, especially any hairpin turns you can use the handbrake on, then boost out of them.
Also, always try and save a fair amount of boost for the final bit of distance to the finish line as there is nearly always someone on your tail... well there is on mine anyway

That's exactly how it was for me too!

Stick to the "normal" cars at first and you'll quickly pick it up and you'll find the others a lot easier too. I still struggle with the bikes though!!! The "at least one wheel off the ground at all times" handling is obviously a lot more difficult when your starting the race with only two wheels...I do seem to be getting better though! It's nice to be able to drive over the top of other people's cars in a bike too!!!

Evolution said not long ago that what they are working on at the moment is a Time Trial mode for all the tracks as well as some new vehicles.

Apparently the Time Trial mode will download in the background as you play the game without telling you.

I think what most people want are new courses though...

I tried you guys tips of sticking to the cars and it really helped! I think I've got to grips with the system now... I've realised that boosting is most useful for correcting your direction after you've gone around a corner! Beaten the first few tickets easily now.

Also had a quick bash online. 12 players - smooth as... very impressive. Like the way you can choose your server. Shame it has to be like that though after being spoiled with Live.

Really enjoying the game now!

That seems to be when it can really help you out of trouble!! You can lose a lot of time without it.

I've just been on it for the first time in a few days and managed to finally get 1st on one of the bike races I've been struggling on. My best was about 7th before!!!

I find that online is riddled with boost glitchers who completely own you on straights in the same vehicle.

Keep pressing X very quickly and the boost bar won't fill up.

Not really sure if you could call it a glitch...it's more like common sense if you ask me!

[Myth]

I'd call it a glitch as you gain advantage over people who just play it properly without knowing of it.

(Yeah I use it at the moment unless I'm in a room where it's obvious nobody else is doing it)

Evolution have commented on it themselves! It's been there since the first demo and it's supposed to be there so it's not a glitch.
