Should have been included in the booklet or as a tip when playing through the game then.

There are hundreds of people online who blatently dont know about it. I reckon it's more like a glitch they arn't gonna bother fixing.

It just seems so obvious to most people. The heat gauge doesn't start building up for a fraction of a second...so you press it for less than that, then press it again. It's not exactly complicated and it's hardly unusual for games to have actions that you have to LEARN by playing the game instead of them being given to you.

It can't really be classed as a glitch or an error as it was intentionally in the first demo of the game all those months back and it was mentioned in interviews with the team.

So the fact that the flames stop coming out of your car, the motion blur stops and it allows you to boost the whole track without overheating your car means that there's really no point in the temperature gauge at all.

Tracks like Coyote can just be boosted in a big rig without stopping, completely raping anyone else.

It's like saying weapon sliding, chainsaw glitching etc is fine in gears because all you do is press 2 buttons.

I'm never going to accept that it's just part of the game and was intentionally put in there.

To me it sounds more like someone's trying to justify using it against people who don't know about it.

It did take me a bit of time to find it but it's very much a part of the game. It's sort of common sense for games!

Whether you "accept" it or not does not alter the fact that Evolution discussed it at the first showing as a part of the game and it's been there ever since because it's supposed to be there. If there is a lot of negativity about that option then Evolution could easily remove it from the game....if they wanted to.

Looking on other forums I see Rushy saying.

'A forthcoming game update will address the problem with the boost exploit. Full details of the game update will be released soon.'

Contradicts the fact it was meant to be in there.

Not intentionally arguing, just feel that it gives an unfair advantage.

I didn't even know about the glitch but I just used it on a offline race and totally blitzed the pack. Lets hope they get rid of it as I want to use my skill to win the races

lol I'm not arguing mate it's just that you don't seem to understand what glitch means for some reason. Glitch means error or mistake!

I've not said it's right or wrong either (that's a seperate issue), I've said that Evolution put it there and advertised the fact that they did from the very beginning. The fact that some people (like you & Rushy) have started calling it an error does not make it so.

As Evolution have said...they know about it because it's SUPPOSED to be in there, therefore (irrelevant of how much people love or hate it) it's not an error.

                  This what I keep saying.

I always thought Rushy worked for Evo?

It's clearly a glitch. What a way to wreck a game in my opinion.

He has got one good point though, what is the point of having the heat bar now there is this, part of the game was all about swicthing services to cool down or getting a bit more air to reduce the heat, now it does not come into play at all. I would say they should remove it as its taking away a part of the game.

I just think they didnt want it that way, people complained and like the good old Halo2 scenario we cant be bothered to fix it now so we will just say that we intended it all along, meaning imo it is a glitch.

Of course he does but that doesn't really change the fact that when it was first shown it was known and it was advertised as part of the game does it?

I agree that it does nothing to help the game and I don't use it myself but if they were showing that on the game as a part of it it's hardly what you could call an error.

So they actually said, "here we are going to have a way to intentionally keep boosting without overheating so you can boost the whole track"?

To be fair if you do it right thats the boost 'glitch' in a nutshell.
