Nah, it's the very start of the mission...just shots coming from everywhere and as I say, I thought "**** you" and realised..."I'm not enjoying this..."

This is actually the first game I am playing for the first time on my new HD-TV
I gotta say it does look beautiful and the way you can run beind and shoot at the same time, you dont tend to get it working so well as you do in this game.
Also very cool when you trip when you are running and just sorta stumble..
I'm a very simplistic guy so thast probably why it fascinates me.
BTW: Does anyone else have when you slide the Collector's Editino case back into teh sleeve it scratches the left side of the sleeve? all the print is cut up and i am trying so hard not to run it along the sleeve insides!!
Also.. damn gameseek taking 3 days to send it to me and then taking 6 days to deliver on 1st class post.. My ass you sent it on Thursday last week....

Just finished mission 6 and I'm loving every minute of this. The difficult has dropped right off since the spike at the end of mission 3, and I'm walking through it no trouble now. The visuals are often so beautiful as to look like concept art, and the boss battles are pure Capcom. Wonderful stuff.
No idea what the story is about, it seems complete gibberish. Cut scenes are outstanding though, especially the one at the end of mission 6. Looks a lot like it's running on the Dead Rising engine too, which is no bad thing.
Now I want more Capcom and RE5 seems so far away...

After all the tips i've managed to do level 3 with the Worm Hunter achievement tooThe revelation for me was the sideways dodge was more than quick enough to get out of the way of her missiles, I had been trying to double jump all this time!
Now I'm on the moth in level 4. Had real trouble with the room with 2 VS, Akrid and pirates, but after learning that I'm better off throwing gum grenades than doing a grapple attack, knocked it down and scaled the crates and left without killing most things!
Now i heard that you don't need to kill the moth but i can't see where to go, so I'll just try and clear it, just keep running out of damn TENG!

I don't know about retries Synth, I think it's total playtime including all failed attempts.
Got the extreme mission 1 boss down as well, after killing him 4 times previously and then getting banged out during his death animation. The final time I got him I had more than 700 energy left. After killing him on hard if someone was to tell me I'd be beating him three days later without a mech and two more of his bum-chums I wouldn't have believed them one bit.
The bosses with mechs should be a damn sight easier, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I've just been going through on Hard trying to find the coins as a warm up for Extreme, managed to get quite a few explorer achievements. Once you know the bosses patterns and aim to go in with enough T-Eng it's not overly tough. By far my favourite battles are with the Worm and Green Eye, so intense.
re: Moth §I took it down with 1 full charge of the VS gun to the nose, unless my other wayward shots did indeed clip it §Last edited by tyler; 17-01-2007, 00:35.

It's a bit tricky. The L/R 'melee' attacks aren't really melee as such, you have to hold them in to charge them.
I kept to about his waist, he seems to have trouble hitting at extreme close range, and head either left or right to avoid his missiles.
It seemed impossible to me at first, but I eventually managed it.
