I dig out the Saturn game now and again, it's as fantastic as it ever was.

But certainly I feel that if we're judging this game on it's own merits, it's a winner.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the demo. I wasn't really expecting anything, but this feels far more like Sega Rally than SR2 on the Dreamcast did. Graphics aren't amazing, but the do the job. Handling is great once you get the feel for it. The only problem is will I have the cash for it on top of all the other games coming out this year?

The demo did nothing for me, it's not the same without the ultra cheesy music and the awesome wheel effect in the arcade when hitting the tarmac.

Also whats up with the pivot turn? it's crap!

Wow this is turning out to be the marmite of the game world.

I really really had high hopes for this and going into the title screen and menus and seeing the super bright colours and good music I thought everything present and correct so far.

Going into the game, the graphics and music just suddenly dropped off (musics bloody awful!) and I thought well maybe the gameplay will be good... I actually really like the deformation but the handling just wasnt there and I really hate driving laps in a rally game.

I think if the demo was the celica or delta going through a point to point stage (like in the arcade) I wouldve been far more satisfied. Im still holding out hope that this isnt representative of the finished game and its had a lot of polish since then so definately going to hire it before writing it off for good but you can tell straight away its not SEGA (I didnt know for a fact it wasnt until I came to this forum after playing) but still I could feel it was 'off' just from playing.

Without starting World War 3, has anyone actually tried (and compared) both the 360 & PS3 demo's ? any differences ?

PS. moving this thread to First Play as it's out on more than one format.

I've tried them both, they seem the same except the ps3 controller really lets the game down.

Had a quick go on both...

Not sure if I'm really enjoying this, it may be more of a used buy for me rather than new.

I didn't really notice any difference between the two but I've only had a quick go and wasn't exactly studying it. There is probably one of those comparison videos available somewhere though.

I'm in two minds about this but I'm still gonna get it because it's SEGA. From what I've read the A.I get HARDER, it's quite hard in the demo, I've only had a few goes and my best result so far is 3rd. Gonna have another go now.

                    Are Argos selling this yet?

I thought PS3 version looked bit crisper and colours more bright - but that could just be the way my consoles/monitor is set up.

Thought the handling of the PS3 version was even more twitchy than the 360 version. Simply not how I like a car to handle.

AI is quite tough, I've had a couple of second places but not a win yet. Don't think I'll be buying it immediately. Personally get bored of these Arcade type racers far too quickly.

I felt this as well. Same as 360 one overall, I did think the PS3 version looked more colourful - could be the way my TV is set up, but it's odd we both felt this way, and we have different screens.

Wierd the PS3 one is actually called 'Sega Rally Revo' too (360 one being just 'Sega Rally').

I noticed that on the PS3 version too but then I thought that I just missed it on the 360. Wasn't Revo the original name?

The game is called SEGA Rally Revo in North America, and SEGA Rally in Europe. The reason the PS3 demo is called SEGA Rally Revo is because the demo is from the US store. When the demo comes to the European store it will be named.. well you guessed it.
