Blood doesn't bother me in a game. As long as it's enjoyable, who cares? I never missed it on Resistance and I'm not bothered about it here.

I'm now 73% through it and have loved every minute. Some cracking action, which I won't talk about yet and plenty of humour as well.

Definitely lives up to the hype.

Will a PAL copy work on my USA console? I downloaded the EUR demo, but it is region locked.

      Is the game locked too??

It's not that the game is locked, just that the Japanese hardware censors all the blood from the game no matter what territory the game is from.

Doesn't bother me at all, I played the demo and thought the way the colour faded out to monochrome was really cool.

I had a go of this yesterday and I quite liked it. The characters are likeable and superbly animated (particularly in cut scene form), and I'm a sucker for the Indiana Jones atmosphere.

What I wasn't so keen on was the way the gameplay seems to deteriorate quite quickly from enjoyable platforming and exploration, to a sub par Gears of War clone. The game seems to give up on platforming almost completely after an hour or so and just throws endless waves of identikit pirates at you to shoot... which gets old pretty quickly.

Also it's visually pretty mixed. There are some nice effects (particularly the water), but the backgrounds look a little small and simply unfinished. Rocks mash into the ground in a crude last gen way, and luminous green grass sits uncomfortably next to plain grey rocks. It just looks a little lacking artistically in the backgrounds, and the realtime lighting completely fails in the interiors which look almost universally drab and flat. Compared to something as artistically brilliant as Assassin's Creed or Mass Effect, it just isn't in the same class. The frame rate also spluttered a bit, with regular tearing.

Not bad then, a decent little game which I think would have benefited from being more of a platform game and a better artistic eye.

Is there still tearing in the graphics? The earlier build suffered from that. (although not too badly) Also on few occations it had a texture appear late. Any sign of that?

Yeah, there's still a lot of tearing and late texture pop in happens pretty much every time it loads.

Luckily it only really visually loads during gameplay after you die several times.

Am I just imagining or does it seem that the headshots don't register at certain points of the enemies animation? Maybe it's the same with all the shots?

So far the game has been a slight letdown. I was expecting a pretty typical action adventure that has a nice story and is drop dead gorgeous. It IS that.... but still there is too much shooting and even with the GeoW cover system the action is uninspiring and repetitive.

I'm just about done with this game, and by done, I mean bored of. It really is just a Gears of War clone, with the odd bit of platforming here and there. Endless waves of identical pirates, all of whom are crack shots even when 200m away. It just gets really tiresome and frankly dull after a while.

This could have been a nice little game, had it actually been what was promised - a platformer with nice exploration/adventure elements. Instead it's just an average shooter, which is a shame.

thats dissapointing. I'm still awaiting my copy, but to hear theres not much platforming is dissapointing.

I have only just started playing it and had to tear myself away to get some work done. I found the game much better and more enjoyable than the demo made out. In the demo i didn't really enjoy the shoot outs but in the full game I am loving them.

Give it a few hours. I liked it at first too, then the grind sets in as the game becomes an endless shooting gallery of identical pirates.

im at that point Kotatsu, feels just like mass effect's nameless and aimless. Glad im playing it on hard first time tho, would feel quite bad otherwise. I enjoy the graphics, VA and story however - so ill stick with it for now.

Got this through the letter box today, so have only managed to play 15 minutes or so. Love what I've seen so far. I like the small graphical touches such as getting wet when you're under the waterfall, and the way he shifts his body to one side when going down stairs. Simple things, but nice.

Like the way that the cut scenes are blended into the game, so you can progress without too much of a pause.

i've just ploughed through the first half of the game in one sitting - strangely addictive, and shootouts are actually becoming more fun as im getting better at them.

The graphics are inspired. Not only do they contain umpteen amount of effects, but the art direction is also spot on.

Loving it - although I know it'll be over tomorrow
