Just saw the advert on tv... advertised as a "blu ray game"... bit misleading, no? Only mention of PS3 was right at the very end.

While playing through and finishing heavenly sword, i noticed that they used heavily compressed fmv for some sections of the cutscenes. Its hugely noticable and distracting considering its suppose to be blu-ray especially when the visuals are stunning in real-time, not something i should be expecting. I hope uncharted doesn't do this too.

OTT: I like your new avatar Chris, its fantastically geeky.

I loved the demo, i'll probably get this one for xmas now. Low on funds.
The demo just shows off a very small section of a level, but is a pretty good representation of the game. If you loved the demo the you will definately love the game

The game uses 25gb of disc space, but I'm guessing this is due to having a load of languages on it. The pal version that is, but I've read that US version is also that size, so maybe not.

does the full game start off like the demo. as in a bunch of pirates just come looking for you and start gunning you down, figured it would ease you in a bit first explaining whats going on before people start gunning you.

The game starts off with a tutorial type 'mission' and gets you used to the controls, which to be honest are so well done that it will take only a few minutes to get to grips with.

The demo is from about a quarter of the way through the game.

There's a fair bit of plot to explain why Drake and Elena are in a plane that's being fired at by unknown nasties.

I'm adoring this - two of my favourite genres wrapped together brilliantly. Even the vehicle section are entertaining.

I think this might prove to be my pick of the year...

The only problem i had with the demo was rolling out of the way which would sometimes end up with me being stuck to a wall for cover.

I got that problem myself, I'd roll out the way and find myself stuck on a corner getting pelted at with bullets

I'm assuming it's not been addressed with the full game?

It still happens but the game is never unfair. You do get a lot better at the combat as the game progresses.

I really have started enjoying the combat whereas at the start I found it a bit of a grind.

Is there an install option for this game. I can't seem to find one. If it isn't its the first ps3 game ive come across that doesn't have one, which seems weird to me. :P

Not that I could see. Loads so quickly that its not an issue.

I noticed that. Its a stunner, also the problem with headshots on the demo has been totally fixed in retail. Im getting headshots all the time.

Got this today and so far it seems brill. The graphics are lush, the sea water looks amazing.

I like the controls for the platform parts, nice and simple.

Playstation 3 is getting decent now.

Finished the game this morning. Loved every minute. Great story and pace. Naughty Dog have pulled a AAA title out from no where.

I will be playing through it again on hardest mode...long time since I have wanted to replay a game

Well done Naught Dog, now get JAK4 and Drake sequel in the works.
