How many levels are there in this game ?

I think I am in Monstary level facing loads of laser sight gunmen.
      Probably level 14/15

This is turning into my game of the year (excluding Mario Galaxy of course I think thats game of the decade after mario 64!), just got that magical something to keep me playing over and over. Game for me is bigger than I thought as its got so much stuff going on all the time (and Im playing on hard), just great story and gameplay. First game since GOW I will play umpteen times I think. I was never a fan of Tomb Raider, for me this just blows it away, GOW gameplay meets original Prince of Persia for descent platform sections, none of those silly Tomb raider fidly sections. Just glad I saved this and Mario for christmas (but for me yesterday with being so badly over christmas) and the 7.1 PCM track is worth anyone seriously to go out and buy an Onkyo avreciever And the loading.....their aint any when you die or when you play, just perfect in everyway.

Just finished it and I have to say its a cracking game.

The pulp feeling that On The Edge of Insanity mentioned is a really fitting description. It does feel like a Saturday morning matinee adventure on times and the closing sections illustrate it really well. A modern day Indiana Jones.

Shame its over so quickly but all the same its a solid adventure and kept me entertained the whole way through.

I hope the rumblings of Naughty Dog wanting to do a sequel are true because this game deserves one.

Mario 64 is from the 1990's so SMG can be your game of this decade if you want.
Drake's rocks. Finished it on medium in one sitting. Not really been playing as much of late, but I do intend to do all 4 difficulties and unlock everything.
              Kept you waiting, huh?

They're not rumblings, they've stated all along that this is a franchise and will be whored out appropriately.

Yep, I think they've mentioned the suitably fashionable trilogy for this franchise already!

It seems to be rated fairly highly in quite a few peoples estimations?

The closest I have to a criticism was just that I wanted to really be able to explore the jungle and environments that I was seeing.

It's not really a criticism though, just that I'd prefer less shooting people in the eye and more exploring.

What a great suprise this game has turned out to be.

It gets everything right on the production side. Great visuals, story and acting. It makes a change to play a character who I laugh along with and really warm to.

Gameplay as has been stated is a cauldron of many different styles and it does them all well. Combat is very satisfying with a good selection of weapons for different occasions. Noticed some great AI. Even the melee is great though limited. The platform sections I have not had as much fun with as the combat but its still better than a lot of the Tomb Raider games.

Its a bit of a landmark graphically for the machine showing that the PS3 can compete and surpass the current gen's visuals when devs can be bothered. Some of the scenery is just stunning. Many Ooo and Aaa moments.

I've not got a PS3, but I saw my bro playing this, and have to say it one of the only things I wish I had over the titles on my xbox30. Looks mint.

I'm in the monastary now and on normal/hard I can pretty much do it in one go, but on 'crushing'....

Wait until you try the bit in the monastary on crushing where you go

left after entering, turn the corner and go up the stairs on the left

                        .

First time I got there I got annihilated as I wasn't expecting

four pirates/mercenaries, two of which had shotguns

                        .

Still loving this though. Hopefully I'll have it 100% complete by the weekend!

Finally started this today now that R&C are put to bed.

I'm only a few hours in and i think i can safely say this is going to be my fave PS3 exclusive game so far.

Finished it last night on hard took 8hours 51mins (but that doesnt include deaths so I reckon around 10hours). Amazing game, its made me install PC Gears Of War finally then off back to it on crushing (as I find these games so similar and adore both in fighting style). Uncharted 2 = first day purchase and definetly wont keep that one for xmas

Not a bad effort. Just finished crushing in 6h29m. Now all I need is 3 medals to get my last 80 Medal Points.

On the later difficulty levels you really have to use the cover tactics a hell of a lot and the combat also becomes a large part of your combat, especially near the end as in places you really do become low on ammo.

Was my first playthru so took longer as I went messing off path looking for stuff and I got stuck for awhile for about an hour trying to figure a puzzle out (it was the game what had borked and not put a ladder down properly with the triangle tapping winch and had got stuck half way and wouldnt let me do it again only bug I found though). I didnt feel it was a short game at all though, probably about right length.
