The fruit machine roll bar is so MINT!!1 It triggers certain time limited special powers that obviously appear completely randomly. One brings up a cross hair in front of you that lets you throw fireballs at your opponents. The first time I got it was in a room with multiple enemies surrounding me and seemed a rather poor power to be given. However the second time it kicked in just as a corridor filled up with baseball bat wielding Warrior spoofs who started charging in a line towards me. Fire, Ash and Coins EVERYWHERE!!XD

Yeah, I think you need to get the 7's three times before anything happens. What happens is still a mystery to me, I've never had more than 1.
Big fan of the Grasshopper one though - not sure if you've seen it yet but basically the screen goes grainy and greyscale, and everything bar Travis goes slow-mo. Soon as you walk up to anyone you get a single button to press, and doing so performs a ridiculously OTT finishing move
Finished this up last night, not quite sure what to say without spoiling things so will keep shut

Any idea of how to activate bombs? On the pause menu, it says I have 12 but not sure how to use 'em?
Oh and any tips for assassin 6 (the one on the beach)?

To save frustration, whenever you're going from one side to the other, run into the water as it seems there are nearly always less pot holes there. As with a lot of the other bosses, I found it was only really worth attacking with counters - wait until she goes to hit you, time your block right, and then just take off a huge chunk that way. When she's low on life and climbing up on the huge rock thing to fire missiles I found it was a lot easier to dive into a pothole, that way you're guaranteed to be safe from the missiles and then you can just get out and attack after

Had a bit of a drive around Santa Destroy last night, visited the weapons store and the gym (using the nunchuck and remote to perform exercises works well). I can see the clothes shop being hard to stay out off, Travis needs to be tricked out for each fight! ITS LAW!!1
The one-hit-kill missions look like they could possible drive me completely up the wall like some of the Chambers in VJ2. BUT I SHALL MASTER THEMZ!
Messed around with the bike a bit more this morning and if you lift up the remote and nun chuck the bike will do a jump, done at speed will result in some nice air and a whistle sound effect. There is a slight delay between the action and the jump, but once you get the timing down you can leap over oncoming traffic - if not the many barriers dotted around Santa Destroy. Also if you hit reverse and yank the nun chuck left or right when driving at speed you can pull off a very cheeky handbreak turn. Hold this action and you do a donut spin. These things make driving around the city more enjoyable, however there is some scandalously bad collision detection issues with cars that can be a tad jarring and I managed to get my bike stuck in some scenery. If this happens, however, just walk away for a bit and press 1 on the remote. Travis will phone up his mate who will drive it over to you. As a way of getting from A to B and searching out money, t-shirts and balls it’s nicely done though.Last edited by spagmasterswift; 22-12-2007, 14:38.

Was playing this a few nights ago and was at the rank 5 mission which for me has to be the funniest bit so far
the dialogue with Henry when Travis starts mocking his Irish accent just after Henrys stolen his ranked kill is genius
, Just bought a new T-shirt with the slogan
Love Tits
. Also when your feeding your cat is that a reference to
Shenmue
when he asks if it's hungry just reminded me of it, not sure if thats in there intentionally or if it's just me. Just a quality game all round, it's one of those games where just when you think you know what to expect next it suddenly just surprises you
was expecting the usual fight a couple of opponents then off to fight the boss, when a message came up telling me to disconnect the nunchuck, suddenly it brought up a vertical shooter
. Finally got round to completing it today as well, it's got to be the strangest ending to a game ever!Last edited by Phar; 26-12-2007, 17:04.

Christmas has got in the way of this a bit, but had an hour or so on it this afternoon.
The ranked 8 boss
Shinobu
gave me a real challenge, I could evade her attacks and wear down her life, but when she was almost dead its really hard to resist the urge to get up close for a final attack. If she connects
you go into a seriously harsh cutscene of pure pwn as she teleports around you slashing your life away
and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Run away from her too far and she will
throw multiple pink swords at you.
Felt great finally taking the bitch out!!!
I?ve traded a bunch of my Lovikov Balls for some of his memory techniques and as a result I can now see more info on the map and a chain counter has appeared during combat. Not sure what else has changed yet?The chain counter is quality on the
100 Enemies
mission, great for racking up them kills?
The ranked 7 boss
Destroyman
is an absolute joy to fight. He has so much personality and gives blatant visual and audio cues before bussin his fantastic attacks. The way his
cock lights up before he fires his ?Destroy Buster?
is genius and the little shockwave that appears when he uses
?Destroy Punch?
looks aces as you roll evade away from it. Easily the best boss so far and will be hard to top imo.

After a week or so of not playing this, got back into it last night and this morning. Up to the 3rd Assassin. Any tips for the lead-up to the boss fight? Especially the
semi-side scrolling part on the bus where the enemies easily overwhelm Travis?
Also, I take it doing the exercises in the gym improve Travis' stats? If so, which ones?

Just finished this 5 mins ago and this, for me, is definitely the best thing on the Wii aside from Mario Galaxy. For such a simple premise (kill boss, do side quests for money, fight boss etc etc), there is a surprising amount of variety in the levels and the humour and anime/game references are great.
Ending does seem to
leave a follow up pretty likely
I thought.
Noticed this gets a US release around the same time as Smash Bros Brawl which will do nothing to help it sales-wise which is a great shame.

3 ranks to go, after battling with
Holly
this game has really stepped it up a gear. That 5th rank fight was AMAZING SCENES!!1
Still not grasped the slide aroud the back meth, seem to pull it off by fluke most of the time which is real shame cos when its buss on a boss they get pwn so hard its not even funny. I don't think I could have beaten
Holly
had I not triggered it and got a wrestling throw in at one point.
I think I'll leave the rest of the bosses until I've got that move down 100%

Just defeated the #2 ranked assassin. Not played a game with so much character for a while and this has been a real joy from start to almost finish. While I'm gagging to rush off after #1, I decided to splashed the cash on the
mkIII beam katana
, took it straight down to the 100 kill mission to try it out and unleashed a brutal lightshow of pure pwnage! It has a very flamboyant style and is ridiculously overpoweredWhen you absolutely, positively got to kill every mother****er in the room, accept no substitutes....
Couple of vids up on my youtube page if anybody is interested in this...Last edited by spagmasterswift; 05-01-2008, 14:39.
