Had to turn it off again this weekend. Finally got a bit of time to play it, got to the 4th level boss.

He took 1/3rd of my health at the end of a cutscene, before the controls would even respond !?!

Urge to kill was rising, so i switched it off. Its like a Game version of manic depression.

Ive noticed if I shove the res down to 720p and dont run fast between rooms the slowdown becomes more bearable. Level 5 valour went to a crawl twice though so gave up on it and went for boss instead and beat him on 1st go.

I haven't experienced any slow down.

You will unless you are using some uber hybrid mega version of the game and XBOX 360hardware.

I really don't know how anyone gets any enjoyment from this, it's by far the most unfair, frustrating game I've ever played.

I want to love it but it's like a test of frustrating endurance and at chapter 6 I've had as much as I can take.

            Shame

Do level one get to the first bit with the flaming arrows and the pole vaulting with the water running down and keep vaulting across the game will crawl and thats the first place of many, game cant cope with loading another scene at same time as mobs from previous scene still their and needs a patch for it.

I had my first script bug at weekend on Act 5. In a room of eath with some crab things killed em all and nowt happened couldnt get up the walls. Quit out reloaded tried again and this time it popped a boss, very lame

The more I've played this, the more I realise the camera is worse than Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black and it feels more button mashing than skill compared to those two.

I enjoyed it overall, its one of the few games i have bothered to complete recently, and it cant be that hard as even I completed lol.

I restarted the game after missing

The Rod for the Valor trials

I was playing it on Warrior and didn't have no problems up to the end of stage 3.

I did restart it on Acoylte and have hardly died.

I beat the original Ninja Gaiden on the Normal setting but I just wanted the experience with this rather than the frustration.

I'm up to the end of Chapter 13 after 2 days. I'll probably revisit it on a higher difficulty down the line somewhere.

I do kind of feel I have cheated as acoylte is a piece of piss..but I may as well finish it now as I'm almost there.

I've enjoyed it. Its great. But i really thought the first one was a better game.

With hindsight, it does feel a bit like cheating but still a great experience, and, being something of a n00b to the series, I'm glad I did go through it on Acolyte first to get a feel for the game. I did buy the original when it came out but never really got into it because of its unforgiving nature. So yeah, I was wary of playing NG2 on the hardest setting from the beginning...

As soon as I'd finished it though, I immediately started a new game on Warrior, using Dragon Sword only and I'm appreciating it even more. I'm also hungry to track down the original again and give it another look.

I think after my Warrior play through with just the Dragon Sword, I will go through the other weapons one by one on Acolyte.
