      Don't jump, ever.
Block constantly, and keep dashing away from him.
Once he finishes a combo, move in for a couple of hits, then back off.

He's extremely easy once you get the hang of him - the trick is not to be greedy.

Replaying this on Warrior, gonna go for the single-weapon achievement with the Scythe.

Already up to chapter 3, havent died once. Realised that what I used to find difficult previously is now a piece of piss, as the later levels really do train you up and force you to get better at the game, so to speak. or it could be the fact I'm using the scythe. Got it levelled up to stage 3 and took down Genshin with a few hard swipes. Have that you bast!!

Couldn't agree more. Say what you will about the game, but you've got to admit that the combat engine is the best in the genre at the moment (on the current gen consoles anyway).

Its the only thing that stand outs in Ninja Gaiden for me. The story, acting and level design are below par imo.

Since the first had already a great fighting engine, and overall a better design than part 2 (imo at least) I felt NG2 was a pretty disappointing sequel.

This game looks like as if it wasn't entirely finished, but a Black edition is probably in doubt with Itagaki gone.

Thanks! Already done it now though Managed to get some swipes in at him when he finished his jump!

Out of curiosity, for people who've played NG:S on the PS3 and NG:II, what would you have said was the easier experience? Sigma on Dog mode or II on Acolyte?

Also, can anyone remember what the 2 difficulty settings on the demo for II were?

Hi D..the NGII Demo only let you play Acoylte. Not sure about Sigma.
(Was Acoylte and Warrior but Warrior seemed locked)

Never played dog or acolyte, but would say that NG2 on Warrior is easier than the equivalent on Sigma. Would assume it would be the same on the "wuss" difficulties.

Just finished this their now on Warrior difficulty and what an incredibly satisfying feeling

Mentor and Master Ninja can bugger off though, they'd kill me

The DLC costumes are now up on Xbox Live. They're pretty awesome actually. Well worth a look.

Also rumour has it we will be seeing Mission Mode DLC on July 25th. YES!

What the...I was going to buy the costumes, but there's 3 of them (with 5 colour variations), and they're 200 points a piece .

                            Two Words - Horse. Armour.

But I do like those designs. The Biometal one reminds me of the Guyver and the Shadow Walker one is kicking it oLD SkOOl.

Some of the designs look pretty cool but 200 points each is a roast. I got the fiend set for free with the game pre order, so I'll just stick with that.

The pricing scheme for the costumes is a bit cheeky but the costumes do have much more detail than your typical alternate costumes in an action game. They're much better than the ones in NGB, for example.
