worse is Turn10 doesn't differentiate between off- and online mode. i wish they would at least patch the offline mode.

I've been enjoying the consistent releases of Car Packs for Forza 3 but I was less enthusiastic about the exotic pack.
However as every release gifts the player a free car for their garage I headed on out in the Spyker C8 over the weekend.
I have always liked the look of the car as it looks very eccentric and curvy but had no idea how enjoyable it is to drive in the game. It's mid engine rear wheel like so many other cars, but has a lot of unique handling characteristics that make it quite unlike any car I've driven in the game.
It's very fast and steers naturally with no under steer but is very happy to step out and let you drift around corners. The over steer is more exciting than other rear wheel cars and far more manageable to control. Also the in car view is beautiful with a metallic dashboard and wooden steering wheel, dotted by bright orange dials decked with chrome.
It's odd as all I wanted with the DLC for Forza 3 was my favourite's that were absent from the main game like the Loloa Aston Martin and the Nissan GTR along with Spa, Imola and a host of other tracks. Instead I get one car which I had no real interest in, and I find myself looking forward to getting back home after work and trying the Spyker C8 on other tracks I've not yet taken it round.
No time trials, no career, no online competition. I'm just enjoying the drive!
Has anyone else picked up the exotic car pack?

can't say I'm any better but my enjoyment has gone up tenfold, its wonderful.
my son went from dissing the wheel as a waste of money to fighting me for a go, and he hates driving games.
I'm not finding the steering an issue actually, just the braking like you say, the cars are far easier to spin out so we went back to basics and started on F class FWD to get a feel for things, then started moving up to a few tastier rides.
Now I've got this just a wheel stand pro to order and all set for F1

I've just started playing F3 again with an MS wheel too and after going back to basics it's a lot of fun. Takes a while to get used to the wheel definitely adds to the immersion factor and you get a better feeling of what the car is doing (back end sliding out etc.).
Ordered a wheelstand pro about 10pm last night and received a confirmation at 8am this morning saying it'll be shipped today - Marmite tells me his took 2 days to arrive after it shipped! Really good comms from Sebastian and if the stand is 1/2 as good as the first rate service they provide then I'll be very happy!
Hopefully F1 / Forza + wheel + wheelstand pro + decent headphones w/ Astro mixamp =Last edited by tom-nook; 06-09-2010, 16:30.
