I think I only mentioned it because that they do sneak them up on you, most of the cutscenes are an excuse to take a break from the action then they suddenly have one with a QTE.

Consider it a practice sessions for the real game. It should also allow you to unlock various moves and so on.
Non stop climax is the real game with no Witch Time, where you have to rely on what you have learnt by using Witch Time.

You know you can hold down RT+LT+back or R2+L2+Select to skip the cut scenes rather than going into the pause menu?
      Edit: too slow

Finished this last night. Got to say the production values and fun factor in this game are out of this world. Not sure whether I want to spend time going through it all again on hard but while it lasted it was a blast.

Echo these thoughts entirely but some words of warning; Hard mode is the exact definition of hard (we're talking somewhere comfortably between God Hand and Ninja Gaiden here). I mean, you get those Hope and Glory enemies popping up in the first few encounters in the game, so be brave but beware!

I thought Hard and Climax modes more enjoyable and certainly more rewarding than Normal and say that as some one who's ordinarily genuinely rubbish at these kinda games. I know Normal initially seems hard enough, but the rate one's skill improves is incredible and follows a sharper trajectory than the steep learning curve. It's much like Trials HD in that sense - stuff that seems impossible is soon overcome.

I presume R2+Select is the equivalent for anyone on PS3.

Thank you gentlemen, I shall try this out. Was it listed in the manual? I gave it a quick skim but didn't notice this.

really is it so bad that it impacks the games ?

You shouldn't really find the PS3 load times bad unless you're familiar with the 360 version, there's worse load times out there

Finished the game on Hard yesterday. Mostly stone awards The last boss was surprisingly easy.

I played The Vestibule on non stop climax difficulty and got slaughtered. Practice makes perfect I guess :P

I love this game. The only negative (and this is a major issue for me) is the Space Harrier-alike levels, and they could easily have fixed that for me by allowing me to negate the Y-axis controls . Pressing down to go up? Madness I tell you, madness.

You can change the Y-axis, its the first thing I did.

they should give you an option to change every control but to me pressing up to go up would make it unplayable (and its pretty dreadful as it is imo)....

thats why i am still crap at 'angel attack'...remember it being super frustrating on dead risings photography intro too.

my bugbear with the controls is I want lock on on LB not RB.

have done it on hard now....taking a break before doing a mop up of the collectables and alfheims and then a climax mode play thru.

off to the darksiders first play
