I assume that's why Soap doesn't know he's alive. I also found it weird that there is no Gaz reveal either though a friend pointed out that on the loading screen afterwards it only lists Roach as KIA.
Ah, that makes sense. I'd totally forgotten it was the

Russians that arrived at the end of the first one and not Allied forces.

That's actually a good point too - although you see Ghost being doused in petrol you never see him being set alight. However it's unlikely he would have survived if he'd been in such close proximity to Roach as he went up.

I got the impression from the way Ghost was totally unresponsive that he was already dead before they set fire to him. Shame really, he was a bit of a bad ass character.

Do you mean the first time he asks you to go to Plan B in the Cliffhanger chapter?

If so, I would have thought the fact that you'd

rigged the C4, and the detonator appears automatically in your hand

might have been a big hint

Yes, that's what everyone at works says! After having been told to

lie low, to then be told go to plan B I decided that meant open fire, lob grenades etc. and of course I was doing that before he auto switched to the detonator!

        lolz. I suck at gaming.

Completed last night on hardened and I loved every second. I loved the big, hypothetical story line. Fighting on washington streets with some of the scenes later in the game made my jaw drop.

Loved the selection of weapons. Okay SAS would never pick up an unchecked weapon but in this case who cares when there is so much fun experimenting with guns to suit your play style.

The graphics get better throughout the game. Did anyone else's jaw drop when you played 'the enemy of my ememy' and

the plane came from overhead and drops bombs down with smoke trails, all the while on the ground there are load of troops fighting each other. I just found it surreal. Also the end mission going through the afgan mountains. The rapids in the river chase. amazing

There is room for Driving simulators and there is room for Burnout. This is FPS burnout imo. Switch the mind off and have fun!

Finished Single Player on Veteran last night, clocked 11 hours, completion time. I think the difficulty is definitely improved, I didn't get spammed half as much with grenades as other COD's and I hardly noticed much spawning.

Now that the Single Player is out of the way I can focus on Multi-Player and Special Ops now.

I can't believe in a thread about Modern Warfare, my post which talks about blowing something up has been spoilered

Here's another one - lots of people get shot! ZOMG!

Posts like this are just getting ridiculous now... this isnt the first game to let you collect hidden items... its mainly to unlock achievements/trophies, i personaly dont see anything wrong with that.

As for the plan B bit, I'm sure youve seen an opening to many an actyion movie where there was moments like that and no one ever explained what the equivilant of "Plan B" was before you saw it happen, its not a big deal at all and I personaly thought it was quite cool. I'm not sure how you can be confused about that bit anyway, your guy pulls a big detonator out his pocket! What did you think you were suppose to do with it?

Some people just seem to want to hate this game and thats pretty sad IMO.

Er, dude. have you not noticed that I've had a massive turnaround on this game? It's extremely enjoyable. I don't want to hate a game that I paid money for.

Your movie analogy makes no sense. The viewer is not required to know what plan B is. Presumably the actor responsible for plan B was told before the movie began shooting.

Ok, so I interpreted "plan B" differently to everyone else. Have a good laugh at the old man's expense lol.

I personally didn't spend £26 on a game I want to hate, but I think the story is piss poor, as I've said. I'm kinda enjoying the multplayer, but find I have one enjoyable game, then the next game someone goes on a killing spree and the over powered streak weapons kick in, and the game becomes frustrating and ****. Then you play again and it's great fun

I wish some people would stop blasting anyone who has an opinion other than, "WOWOWOOWOWWOW!!". It's not just this game, it's every big release, you dare criticise any areas, you get people jumping on you. It's like some believe every big release is perfect, there's no room for improvement, and anyone who says anything negative about it hates it - as if that's some kind of personal assault on them. Bizarre.

I think it was Uli who said many pages back that it's possible to like a game while pointing out issues. Unconditional love is stupid.

Anyone know why I'm struggling to find any games through Xbox live matchmaking? I know the PS3 version is supposed to be ****ed atm, but using the Xbox equivalent the game just keeps testing matches over and over every time it reaches 100% despite it having located 50 potential games.

Is there a way to stay in party chat when joining an online match, had to manually mute every other player bar those in my party last night.

Obviously everyone on your team would have to be on your friends list to hear them

Ok, found out that my NAT setting is set to strict and that I need to open some ports to allow a connection, only problem is I've no idea how to go about doing that.

                                Any pointers chaps?
