The thing with doing the side missions is that you can come across really good weapons and i hate missing stuff like that. Especially when the game is balls out insane and the side missions can be hilarious from what i heard. I want to meet the pot lady.

Just wouldn't mind knowing how does everyone manage their time in the game, really.

Started this last night and am up to the Hospital. It's like a weird mix of Siren and Shenmue...with one of House of the Dead's agents thrown in as the main character.

Some of the dialogue's brill and has had me lolling. So have some of the facial animations and weird sound choices (Squirrels that eek like monkeys! Scary kids making panto style whispering noises!). The music's fantastic too...They've already overused that whistling accompanied acoustic ditty though.

So far, I'm really enjoying the fact that it's not non-stop horror, and there's a nice helping of Shenmue-esque pleasantness to break things up. Quite refreshing that.

      Can't wait to play more.

The zombies still freak me out, especially when they start taunting you with gibberish like "Don't want to die............" folllowed by a mouthfull of zombie hand like it was out of 'Drag Me To Hell' lol...........

You should aim to do a side mission whenever you see one on the map. You have plenty of time to get to where you need to go to advance the story proper.
          Kept you waiting, huh?

Been enjoying this so far, I'm not quite gaga over it yet, but I'm fully expecting to enjoy it more and more as the story picks up. York is absolutely sensational. I'm really enjoying the shooty bits too.

Just been given a huge chunk of time to explore the place before meeting all the townsfolk tomorrow, and even though the loading times and awful map take the wind out if its sails, it's still an enjoyable place to explore...I think.

The weirder moments really catch you off-guard in this...I was a little freaked out when I peeped through some window and exited after the game clock hit midnight. Eep.

This gave me the push to start up the PS3 version last night. First impressions are that it's like playing the most ambititious PS2 game never made

                                'kay now I'm gaga.

About an hour or so into Episode 2 and it's just the most imaginative, absorbing and mental game I've played in some years.

Love that the side missions sometimes give you plot details. Never usually bother with the things, but the characters are all so intriguing that I'm actually willing to go out of the way to fetch Brian some Yams...or something.

The wonkyness and low budget execution only add to the charm too. Yeah, it'd be great if they'd had the budget for Rockstar levels of character animation, but I'd much rather see York robotically point skyward every few minutes.

I even enjoy the driving, and am always a wee bit disappointed when York's film conversations with Zach revert back to the stuff he just repeats. My gf thinks that Zach is

                                you, the player

. Think she may be right too.

                                Top shiz.
