Yeah and 15,000 of them got a 1 day ban and all their credits reset, being outraged with this many have vowed to buy Black Ops and spam the fun right out of that too.

You can do about half the Campaign in an evening. May as well jump in for points towards my exploding hearts. Just in time for me to quit playing.

Sure, I'd be up for that.

I just realised that I don't need to play through the campaign in coop for achievements, so I'm up for any game type really.

Perhaps because it is extremely repetitive? It feels like they reached a certain point with the game then had to rush it to finish and so didn't have time to create any new assets so they had to just keep re-using the existing assets. Not only is the assault on control room level run twice but the level itself has near identical structures throughout making it feel like the same section being played three times. The addition of three generator installtations (also all the same) on the second run through is nothing really, it's barely more than a single room.

Apologies if this has been covered before, but how do you get Commendations in Firefight mode? Is it not possible in single player? I've put in a decent amount of time both single and multiplayer Firefight and have yet to register towards any of the Commendations at all.

I suspect it'll only be matchmaking firefight

Ahh ok. So it's not possible to get Commendations at at all playing Firefight other than in multiplayer (via Match making)? Shame as i tend to play single player more than multi.

Well score attack is a single player version of firefight, but it's not as long as a custom game, it's usually timed by 10 minutes or until you kill them all

This has been said before but is worth repeating - the best way to earn credits in Reach is Matchmaking/Firefight/Score Attack/Gruntpocalypse. Each match is a single player game, usually lasts between 8 and 12 minutes, and earns around 1200 credits, more when challenges and commendations targets are met.

Thanks Charlie, this is really good to know. I've been spanking the Sword Base bit with the target laser thingy a fair amount, but the commendations there have started to dry up so needed another way to try and rank up quicker. Starting to think I may have to actually play through the campaign solo on Legendary, or at least see how far into it I can get before throwing in the towel. With three achievements left I'm too close to give up on this one, but they seem too much of a long ting to actually pin down. Would be nice to say I've got the full value out of at least one Halo game.

Anybody have any other tips for faster ranking? Also, is Forge any good, not tried that game type out yet...?

Don't you have to play through the campaign on solo legendary anyway to get all the achievements?

Yes, one of the achievements is for playing through the campaign on solo legendary - hope that's not a spoiler - which I'm not sure I'm up for as I say.

Tis alright. Long night of Solace can be frustrating but it is mainly just a bit of trial and error. I think Heroic is the sweet spot for enjoying Halo for me.

Any tips for doing the annoying 'Elite assasination from a great height' achivement?

I have done it about 20 times on the last stage but I get no achievement? It is a full on assasination animation kill too.

Do you have to have scoring on and get an assasination badge whilst doing it or something?

Armor lock is a wonderful thing. I was being shot from the back so I locked, moved the camera around to see who was shooting, came out of armor lock once I clocked him then strafe no scoped him.

Always keep a sticky when you rock armor lock. Throwing one at your feet before you lock kills melee, sword and shotty whores nicely.
