Just spent 5 minutes with the game and felt like throwing the controller at something. Yes, I was doing (or at least trying to do) the Intermediate Top Gear Challenge with the Elise. After being disqualified numerous times when the AI collided with me, I switched the game off to preserve my sanity (and the controller!)

I think the genius that thought that challenge was fun ought to be made to drive the 'Ring in a RUF "Yellow Bird" with the engine fully upgraded on Comfort Hards.

My Lv 12 Ticket got me a Blade Silver Nissan 370Z Tuned (GT Academy Version) last night. Only way to get the car in the game. I currently have it shared so that I it can be viewed in my Profile.

Felt exactly the same about the challenge with the Elise. Ironically, now that I can consistently get a silver on the event, I'm finding the challenge a lot of fun!

Really ought to do some B spec Indy 500's to help me get the almost 2 levels I need for Lv 35 and the free Red Bull (liveried I think) X2010. Not sure about doing longer races as the Suzuka one took over 7 hours!

Checked my White (with dark silver panel) Audi R8 LMS and it is not the Team Playstation one, unlike the Black one that I have.

Yes the X2010 is liveried, looks much nicer imo. Best I am ever going to see because ill never get a carbon!!!

300 or so Mb update, so they have not done much.

Decent amount of events in the Seasonals. There is a new Bonus Race Section and two extra races on last weeks Challenges. Not entirely sure a Ferrari F1 race on a Kart track is going to be easy!

The Online Car Dealeraship is now the same size as the Used Car Dealership which is useful, There are a fair number of low mileage cars in there.

Sorry for the double post, but this is important.

They have done a huge amount of stuff in the latest upgrade (check the News Section when you start the game to see the full list).

Be warned, if you have a large save, the first time the game starts you think the game has frozen (I restarted a couple of times, but left if finally). It took ages to start as it was optimising the save. Mine is now about 40K smaller (I don't use the Museum much).

Individual Gear Adjustment
You can set Camber with the Coarse Maker
Your Courses can be used online, but only new ones you create
Other people can get a loaner car from Friends Shared lists
Increased Exp for A spec and B spec
Money from races is back to levels it was at the games release for A spec
GT Anywhere is now implemented.

Not sure what effect Borrowing someone else's car has. I'll have to read up on it. Maybe you get paid for the privilege as it does mention the word rent! I am not sure what effect is has on the mileage of the car (as a precaution I removed my GT Academy 370Z from my shared cars).

You can (finally) use any car in your garage when you play online. Saves the trouble of picking which cars to add to your favourites. Also Money and Exp when racing Online have been improved.

PD (appear!) to have done a good job with this latest update, so I am cautiously optimistic. I hope it hasn't created any new issues with the game!

Some (as far as I can see) undocumented improvements...

You can do a multiple selection from the cars in your garage to add to your Favourites using the L1 Button.

The best improvement for the avid car collector (which I only just noriced, but I presume was there earlier when I looked) is in the UCD and the OCD (I presume there must be something similar in the Premium Dealership, so I will check when I am back in the game) is that cars that you already have have a Tick against them in the Dealer... extremely useful.

On Borrowing a car, it looks as if it is free and you keep the car as long as it is selected "into" your garage and you can change settings on it (though they revert back to the original owners settings when you de-select the car). Still not sure about any mileage done on the car.

For use in Online each car has a Performance Points value to show how good it is (someone must have been looking at Forza lol). This shows up in your garage and in the dealers when you buy a car.

I noticed the tick next to the cars you already, so simple and yet it makes such a difference.

For anybody who wants to give them a go, I've listed all but one of my stealth cars for people to mess around with. I ran out of space which is why I've missed one out. I'm not sure if multiple people can use the same one but I presume so.

It is good to see the return of Performance Points as promised, they really worked well in the last game.

I wondered about that. I presume you can only borrow cars that can be Gifted. That will exclude any cars that you received a code to enable you to download and use them.

I haven't played in over a week and now I've had to do this 1.06 update. What are these Performance Points all about? Is it to do with racing online?

How do I borrow a car? I can't work out how to do it.

Also do you win any cash for the Challenge Seasonal Events? It doesn't appear so when you click into one of them.

I think the Performance Points are for making it even Online, though I am not totally convinced (if Forza with its similar system is anything to go by).

I like the options (in one of the Settings) to add Ballast to the car (which can be positioned from Front to Back, and also the Engine option of limiting the Horsepower (by a percentage). Not sure if that works on a stock engine as I only tried it on an upgraded engine.

To borrow one of my cars, go to Community and Click on my PSN. Under my stats are the 6 cars I shared. Click on one of those and you have the option "Borrow". Not having tried anything beyond that point I presume you Click that and get to use the car temporarily.

I found another change I hadn't heard about - doing seasonals no longer advances the used car dealer, which is very handy if you need to use seasonals to earn lots of cash to buy something that has appeared!

Joe, you do get cash for doing the challenge seasonals but not very much. This is because they can be repeated, but that just makes it the same as doing A spec fo cash. The most I have won so far has been 20 million for winning the Ferrari F1 race at Suzuka. Not tried the final F1 challenge race yet.
