And if you think you can enjoy the campaign while ignoring the skillshotting, that's great - one more reason I'd buy it. (Haven't yet. Wasn't interested until I heard a lot of people saying yes, it's trashy pulp, but it's really well-done trashy pulp.) Still, every review I've read does say skillshotting to earn currency to buy weapons and ammo in the campaign is a important part of the gameplay.
They only ever really used the game to Name drop Gears of War alot and remind us it was getting a sequel soon, hell it even comes with acsess to the Gears 3 beta (or the epic edition does anyway). I dont think anyone was expecting this to be a great game (not even Cliffy B) and it has turned out to be one.

You dont have to worry about performing skillshots in the game, you get as many points for a headshot as you do for dragging someone towards you, kicking them away and then shooting them. The fact is that youy will always have plenty of points to spend. Its also just alot of fun performing the skillshots, and eventualy you just start doing them for the fun of it, you dont worry about your points at all. The skillshots become part of the levels, like there is a bit near the begining set in a desert, so you start kicking people into the cactus'. Its packed with moments where you are just naturaly killing people in different ways.

It's a mindset thing that the game gets you into really well, you walk into an area, the music changes and you not only know it's going to kick off but you look around and start to think i wonder if those huge flywheels will give me a new skillshot type and you then manoeuvre the firefight to try and make it happen.

It's the difference between utd scoring some boring 5yard tap in and Arsenal scoring an over passed epic, all worth the same but one is far more artistic

Anyone on steam? Capcom_Suicide if anyone fancies a game!

Plays nice on the 2010 iMac 27" (ATI mobility 5850 and i7, 8GB Ram) but only 20-25FPS at 2560x1440, 1080p at max settings is only 30fps too, but looks quite amazing.

Anyway, friend me up fellow PC gamers.

Love the game so far, as others said Borderlands meets Gears!

LOL I just unlocked the Sniper rifle which lets you guide the bullet like the one in singularity or the boomerang in dark sector.

Added bonus is it's secondary fire mode lets you guide the bullet into an enemy then control the enemies ragdolling body through the air PAIN style / Burnout Aftertouch style into other enemies then you can press the trigger to detonate your explosive round.

Yeah unlocked the explosive sniper last night, became my new favourite weapon. Guiding a flying body and remote exploding them never gets tired.

Nope, with the articles I've seen and having followed mister B's Twitter for a while now I don't remotely agree with that. But still, eh, either way it seems to have made a lot of people happy, and the reviews and first impressions I've seen have got me interested where I wasn't before. Can't afford it at the moment, but it's definitely on my shortlist.

You don't agree? Cliffy b even went on record recently saying this game was only made to advertise gears, he may have been slightly joking but still, he clear didnt expect the reception it got.

Did up to 1-2 and it seems good fun. I get the impression I should put KZ3 aside for now as it's an awkward transition between the two. Give this a chance on its own merits

Yeah, considering they are both basicaly in the same genre they couldnt be more different could they?

This game is really impressive and only gets better as it goes on, just wait until you get the sniper rifle.

Theres a sniper rifile section quite early on in Killzone 3 as well, but it feels the same as every other part of the game, youre shooting people to a muddy backdrop, despite the fact that it goes way out of its way to make you feel like youre doing different things, you arent, and it fails to acknowledge that.

I love shooting people (in games), Killzone 3 is great fun, but Bulletstorm is a great game, and thats the real difference.

Bloody hell this is addictive stuff!

Got Killzone 3 on Tuesday and played for ages, loving it. Bought this Wednesday and it's taken over. I literally sit there thinking of ways to ratchet up my Skillpoints. It's digital crack.

I just played that bit, around chapter 5, its like Cloverfield, could genuinely feel my heart going a bit in the copter, was amazing.

Dialogue is superb - 'you fungal rimjob's' & 'hold your ladyparts' being faves at the moment

Am I the only one not feeling this?

I got it for the Gears beta and to be honest it just hasn't clicked at all.

This gets better and better, the story is great and i love the focus of only having a few weapons, I've started to bond with the bouncer and it's incredibly satisfying.

Im on chapter 7 now and know it's going to end soon but not found a single act in the game to be a chore, can see me going straight back round again armed with my badass skills from the first time thru.

Can anyone with a standard copy of Bulletstorm confirm if it includes a code to gain access to the Gears 3 beta?

                                Thanks.
