Fear not. I had played for about 15 minutes before I teamed up with Kryss. We didn't have any problems.

Right, just got my 3ds copy and had a few hours play about. How does one such as myself join your gaming fun time parties or am I still too noobish to do anything outside of kill little cat men or raptor things?

The single player has the same monsters has he multiplayer, and many of the hunts are similar, the difficulty is just ramped up for 4 people in multiplayer. I'd play solo for a while first, you will get some decent Armor to go online with then too.

Solo is actually the meat of the game IMO, because it's where you should spend most of your time grinding.

Could someone please explain to me how this packet tool works? I keep getting a 106-0612 error every time I try and connect to a room. Do I need to be stood in a certain place on my 3DS game or something?

I think you need to be in the multi room in the tavern.

I was watching a few lads play this in the game shop the other day. It looked ace.

I'm certainly enjoying it more than the demo. Managed to somehow sink 4 hours into it last night when I'd only intended to do one quest. One thing I miss from the demo though, I'm restricting myself to sword and shield for now as I'm new but you don't seem to be able to use items with your weapon out anymore

Well I hit g-rank on tuesday, i'm spending the next few weeks working on offline quests and upgrading while I'm at school. No hardcore onlining until summer for me.

I've never got on with any of the MH games on the PSP. Started this and the 3DS is a perfect fit. I'm doing the whole "thinking about this game when I'm not playing it" thing. Utterly engrossing. So glad I decided to give this series another go.
