Went to see World War Z at the weekend, wife and step daughter loved it, I said it was boring and if they wanted to a good story they should watch me replay Last Of Us (which has a way better script) and they would be scared and engrossed.

Needless to say the two women declined, their loss...

After I finished this last night I lay in bed questioning the choices made by the characters, and what I would've done in the same situation. Games have never made me think like that. To be honest I watch most films and when they're done, they're done. I think it's due to the involvement I had in making the story play out. Obviously the plot is all preset, but there was a bit very near the end of the game when I made a choice to do something, then changed my actions part way through as it felt morally wrong though there was already blood on my hands by that point. I'll be curious to find out what others did at that scene when it's easier to talk about big plot parts without messing it up for others. I don't think it'll be long before I begin my second play through.

I only remember one part where the game gave me an option (despite the outcome being preset) so I'm guessing I know the part you're on about, I went all out, figured it fit the course of the story mode which given the ending seemed right.

because I'm too engrossed in the MP and being rubbish at it. Great fun, though - really tense.

I certainly is. I heartily second this and wonder what age we are in where a recently released PS3 game (albeit an absolutely fantastic one) can upstage a supposedly large-scale survival fiction disaster movie with a $200m+ budget and Tyler Durden on board? In any case, it did it well...

I took the first out and instantly felt remorse. I didn't know if Ellie was aware of what they were doing but they were desperately looking for a cure. For me, Joel had lost the plot at that moment.
