Seems okay on WiiU despite no dedicated servers running, well, within the norm at least. It's pure run and gun action now but I really do like how toned down it is compared to the last few. I'll get all my tactical action from BF4 but for anyone on the fence, unless really in the mood for CoD style action, best waiting for BF. I'm liking Stonehaven a lot in this, also snow map and small town with it's purpley colour tints

Got my copy this evening and agree with CTN. Doesn't come close to holding a candle to BF, only 6 more days and I'll probably trade it in but we'll see. I prefer the Controller Pro for the feel and shape, although the GamePad is more responsive just annoyingly digs into your hands as you frantically grip it. Multiple functions being available on the gamepad make it extremely useful.

The method of unlocking new weapons and add-ons via "squad points" is better than purely by using the weapon. And still the weapons feel like extra-large peashooters with the accuracy of a wasted salaryman trying to piss into a milk bottle from 50 paces. More unlocks are called for I think. There does seem to be a big lean towards the Honey Bee, probably because of the silencer.

Unlocked Extinction mode pretty quick and that seems novel. Will have to play that some more, but figure out how to get some better weapons.

Will now wait to to play this on PS4, the lag is just a joke, zero improvement from MW3. And the game play is crap also, rubbish maps, shot from all over the place because their is no safe haven. Mark Rubin hang your head in shame. Since the REAL IW people left after MW2 was finished are now making Titanfall. MW3 and this are complete ****e. Anyone who thinks different has a crap internet connection.

Anyone with fast internet connections is doomed on this game, it crucifies you.

With only about 2000 players total on WiiU so soon after launch, I don't think there'll be many playing this for long.
TDM is still BS but Domination is enjoyable enough so far. Really getting into my stride with the first Marksman rifle, just added armour piercing rounds and the range-extending barrel. Definitely more used to playing with the Controller Pro now.

Trying to give this a thorough work through to gauge it. Something about the WiiU controls just doesn't sit right. A week of mucking about and it still feels off. There's definitely some alright maps here but also some of the series worst. The design shift is so severe from thevearlier games that I'm left feeling that Raven has a bigger hand in these than IW does these days. Fan or not it's so clear Treyarch is the better home for the series. I'm going to see if the PS4 feels better to play, undecided if I'll keep this all year round though. I'll certainly get next years but if issues keep coming up then I might start skipping the IW entries.

So I went back to it and have concluded no longer is this a game of skill on MP, it is a game of connections. I logged onto my USA account and suddenly have a KD ratio of 1.71. On my UK account it is 0.89. Now I know sitting in the UK it shouldn't make a difference, but it does, strange but true!

So bragging my KD is XX:YY is bollocks (as it has been since MW3 appeared) cos it is all about how IW net code works, which it clearly does not. Online gaming my arse (he says logging back into his USA PS3 account)

Finally whoever dreamt up the Maniac Perk thing is a total and utter wanker, 10 kills and you become the hate looney who cannot be killed from MW2 who runs around, knifes you from silly distances, can take a whole clip form a gun and not get killed, FFS is IW run by pubescent unemployable weed smoking loons who think this a good idea........

I agree with all that about the Maniac perk/killstreak. It is stupefyingly dumb and the worst example of its kind that either IW or Treyarch have ever done, which is really saying something. Boosters going for the nuke in MW2 feels now quite sensible in comparison. It would be game breaking if game wasn't already broken.

Traded my WiiU one in earlier for the final piece of the puzzle. Not paying anything for my PS4 tomorrow now

This has been better today, nowhere near as laggy and more coherent. Spawns still need a lot of work though, biggest trouble is that the already small WiiU playerbase seems to be dwindling again but I'm trading in on Weds so should hold out.

Still laggy for anyone with fast internet connection and low ping , forums everywhere full of complaints. Play Cranked for the worst examples of it. I played a game of TD and there was a player from Cyprus with very slow internet, he got 58 kils and 5 deaths. On replays against me he could have had a cup of tea before shooting me. I have read PS4 is no better. Surely they can fix this otherwise what is the point of us all spending money on good internet connections? It does not bode well for the future..

FYI, I have DMZ, open nat, static IP and it made little difference
