Question to you guys on all formats. If they reset all the exotics again for house of wolves (and indeed each expansion thereafter) will you carry on playing?

I won't stop playing, but like the first time round with the 1st DLC, I won't bother upgrading more than a couple of exotics. It's not so bad with armour, but weapons take ages to level up. Hopefully they implement a better solution for the next DLC that is less punishing to the existing fan base who have spent hours and hours levelling up exotics. It's simple to fix really, all they need to do is add a new upgrade tree to existing items, so you're only needing to upgrade to the new damage level. Maybe require an exotic shard to unlock the new upgrade tree.

Wow, that is a piss-take. I now have 3 Mythoclasts, but still missing a Gjallarhorn, despite clocking up over 750 hours on the game.

Regarding iron banner - has player rank been reset again, or is it tallying-over from last time? I might dip into it if I know that progress won't be reset each time it appears as I wouldn't mind trying out the Timur's Lash hand cannon.

Was thinking the same thing about timur's lash, looks like a nice weapon with some interesting perks, but starting from scratch in iron banner isn't a nice prospect, especially if it resets each time, seems kind of pointless to me.

Like you i only use a few exotics anyway thinking about it, so won't pose a problem. Hopefully they will use a little more common sense next time and not require a full upgrade along with tons of resources plus zur just to get the new version.

I like the look of the high impact rating on Timur's Lash, but the low magazine size could end up being annoying after being used to a 10+ hand cannon mag.

Seems each bounty represents a rank in iorn banner so the ranking up isn't that bad really.

Edit. Played a few matches of iorn banner, what an awefull, completely un fun mode that's full of vex, souros and ghorns. Just stupid and highlights how broken the weapons are in pvp when not evened out.

Im not exactly bad a pvp but got slaughtered each and every time.

After my bitching about still not having the Gjallarhorn, guess what just dropped for me at Atheon (normal mode). I was only playing normal mode because I'm still missing the Glass Minuet ship (which only drops on normal), so I'll be running 3 normal mode runs a week before my hard runs until I get it.

Well finally I've done my first raid. Well I did a lot of following people who knew what they were doing ha ha. Quite enjoyed it and they enjoyed showing the raid newbie how it's done with all the weapons I still don't have ha ha.
Picked up gloves, chest piece and the fantastic black hammer sniper rifle so I was well chuffed.

Depends on how you roll it.

If you go for Spray and Play with luck in the chamber or final round, its a beast.

sorry dude i was on but got invited to a hard raid early on which took up most of the eve, I'm still after the vex mythoclast so was too good to turn down, only done hard mode twice now, will catch you on sometime I'm sure.

Ice Breaker is 17 strange coins. Do the weekly to get 9 more if you haven't done it already. Xur stays until Sunday morning. Blue engrams also tend to change into strange coins when handed in at the Cryptarch, so do plenty of strikes on the strike playlists.
