I liked Tim Roger this month, amused me. Previously he's confused me abit.

But also intriguing, maybe worth a feature? Exactly why the hostility to the Xbox?

Also what is the little star for at the end of the Kongetsu title??

You're all right, this forum is becoming embarassing.

I think both games are good, although i wasn't keen on Outrun initially, but i've come to like it.

      However.......

EA, although some people on here hate them, know how to sell a game, whereas Sega really don't have a clue.

Thats why there'll be a Burnout 4, but no Outrun 3.

I'm taking bets on this if anyone really thinks i'm wrong.

Being a huge fan of outrun2 i think an 8 is pretty much spot on. While the single player is good it does have flaws and the online mode ain`t quite upto scratch which for me stops it getting top marks. As for last months Burnout 3 you guys must of been on crack giving it a 10 and again it should of have got no more than an 8. The single player while huge it`s to easy and boring to complete and your rewards (cars) are mostly dull. And crash mode is pretty much the same to easy. And don`t even get me started on the online problems but i grant you that you wouldn`t experience this while reviewing the game. If any racer deserved a perfect 10 in games tm it was pgr2. The game is flawless in everyway from online perfection (8 players, zero lag and collision detection so good you swear you were doing single player racing). Add an enjoyable single player which allows the player to choose the difficulty level they want to attempt challenges at and reward you accordingly and you have the one of the best racers you will ever play. And the amount of people still playing pgr2 one year down the line is a testiment to that.

We actually gave PGR2 a 10 after reviewing it for one of our Xbox Live features. Funnily enough we're doing another one that looks at the majority of Live games released over the last 10 months, the question is, what scores will OutRun 2 and Burnout 3 get then...

Try this. Play Outrun 2. Then put on PGR 2.
PGR2 looks so ****e, and is so slow in comparison, it's not right.

A couple of the lads stuck on PGR2 (Live) at the meet. They struggled to find a game and when they did it was laughable. Ten my arse.

Strider. Have you men received the SF:Anniversary for Xbox yet?

                    I'm itchin for impressions.

Where are you getting those Avatars Yash - Jassi????

                      Anyway, back to the topic...

Good work guys and gals. The quality of the mag has gone right up over the last couple of months, especially the covers.

And now back to the conversation...

I would be inclined to give both Out Run 2 and Burnout 3 8/10. Burnout certainly features flashier presentation and some truly lovely effects, but Out Run's level designs are far more memorable and individual. Personally, I would choose Out Run 2 over Burnout every time, but overall I feel that both titles offer gamers decent value for money.

And here's a new topic for all you fanboys: what if EA published Out Run 2?!

It would have a really bad soundtrack and an annoying, shouty DJ

Just had and looked fine to me. Graphically still looks great as ever, lovely texturing, huge draw distance all around you, great lighting and shadowing effects it looks all good to me. And as for speed so what if its slower than burnout and outrun, racing games don`t have to be ultra fast to be fun. As for online sessions i just looked and there were around 20 rooms up and running and had a decent couple of games aswell. As for giving it a 10 strider it`s good to here it got the score it deserved in the end even though the original 9 wasn`t to shabby Look forward to the xbox feature aswell strider even though i have an idea what outrun2 and burnout3 scores might end up with

I don't know if we have it, but it's actually in the office and when we're not playing Pro Evo 4 on Xbox, Dudly seems to be getting a bit of a workout at the moment.

It's also looking a lot better than previously and has hardly any of the breakup that I mentioned a month or so back. I'll try and get a few games in tomorrow and give you a few more impressions then.
