I have problem with Half Life 2 in that the voices cannot be heard!

Anyone else had this problem? I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

Yep, the squished widescreen seems to have been fixed, and looks pretty good, but now I can only hear the background ambient sounds- bah!

On the plus side Black seems to run faultlessly.

EDIT--Just seen that there's been another update - particulary for sound issues, will try it tonight.

Sound issues cleared up in Gaiden Black.

The update doesn't seem to kick in with some games though, if the download freezes try a different disc.

Yay! Ninja Gaiden Black is perfect now! Another few months of this and the Xbox 1 can be 'retired'!

I'm having zero joy with the latest update. It just hangs on "Update in progress" with the bar having made no progress. If I press cancel the console freezes up! It happens on both SSX3 and Ninja Gaiden Black. ;_; Does anyone know what I should do? My xbox live seems to be working fine, so it's weird that the updates no longer are.

edit: ah, it downloaded the update when I tried Halo 2. ****ing Halo 2. ~_~

Unlike most of you, i never had an Xbox so i couldn't play it properly for a while.

I got to mission 8 when i started to give up with the framerate.

Then the update came and i got no sound, but this update finally solved it!!!

To be honest, i probably would of been hooked on the game longer with the framerate problems lol.
Everytime when the framerate went back to normal it felt like a new game, and made me carry on

I fear that i may get bored of NGB quickly (Happens with all my games )

i'm fed up with this so called "backward compatibilty". is a crap emulation at best. yesterday i tried out fable. it refused to run in 16:9 ratio and the framerate was awful. rainbow six 3 also refuses to run ("video mode not supported"), although M$ is telling me it does. guess it's my VGA connection the games still don't like!

Fable doesn't support 16:9 on the Xbox btw, you'll need the PC version if you want that.
