I just don't have any interest in any games available for the console at the moment. My opinion may change when better games are released, but for now I can live without a 360.

It's just your earlier post implied you would have bought one had it been backward compatible with those games, think that's the point they were getting at.

Ok, not sure if this has already been mentioned in this thread ( there's a lot of previous posts! ) but I need to have a rant about something.
I assumed that when a game was on the backwards compatability list released by Microsoft it meant that is was perfectly emulated / playable on the 360. With this I mind I went out yesterday & picked up a copy of Ninja Gaiden Black to see what all the fuss was about ( never had an original XBox so I missed out on this first time round ), got home & discovered that they'd added an undocumented feature to the game, uncontrollable bullet-time.
Occasionally the entire game just slows down for no apparent reason, only for about five seconds or so but it really ruins my enjoyment of what is looking like an excellent game.
Just wondering if anyone else has played this & experienced the same issues? I had assumed that the 360 would check for an updated version of the emulator on its own, should I be updating it manually, if there is indeed an update available.
Also, does anyone know if the original plays ok as it may just be a better idea for me to get that instead?
Cheers.

The emu is definitely a little lackluster on most of the the emu I've tried. Only Halo and Halo 2 seem to be perfect.
Forza has terrible frame rate issues on the emulation, almost bullet time all the time
If there's is an update for the game, it does tell you, there just hasn't been any since v1.2.
I don't remember the original US Ninja Gaiden having frame rate issues on the Xbox proper, but I haven't tried the black version.Last edited by MartyG; 22-02-2006, 10:12.

The original PAL Ninja Gaiden also suffers the frame rate issue with the current BC software.
I got the US version because I wanted decapitations, so have to play it on the Xbox, eitherway it's possibly the best single player game I have ever played.
I want to get N. G. Black, but am looking forward to seeing what Team Ninja have in store for the true sequel on the 360.

pretty sure it's 720 at 60hz, not 50... oh well, can always play it on the xbox, just annoyed i can't play summit strike as it literally will not work on my xbox.
if there's a work around i'm all good though, cheers C'!
