yeah, but it permanently hangs. we waited 5 minutes, and nothing. and this is the first time I've played halo 2 on the 360, since i picked it up for ?3 in dixons the other day

Have you installed all of the Live updates and downloaded the free maps?
You could try deleting the main save file for halo on your 360 then try again

yes to live updates and maps, but i'll try deleting the save, if there even is one apart from the maps, like I said, I've not played it.

my 360 should arrive today no doubt when i at work.was wondering if the hard drive comes with the backward compatable software preinstalled.the only game i need to work is super monkey ball deluxe(keeps wifey happy)or will i need to d/l the update,burn to disc and install myself.only asking incase the good ladytries to get the console working when i am at work.

I just started playing Ninja Gaiden Black again the other day on 360.

This game could easily get away with being a specific 360 game it looks so good.

LOL - only games on the "List" work. You can't just try random titles until theres an update to the list. There is apparently a big update coming that adds supports for "a lot" of titles, but its currently MIA. I assumed it would form part of E3's annoucment - but maybe over the summer when the next gen releases dry up. Fingers crossed for Panzar Orta to be on that list!

I'm sure they'd said it was due in May not too long ago and since the end of the month is when they're rumoured to be releasing a big dashboard update that would make sense. We'll see though.

If SOL from Sumo Digital is to be believed, then MS. tbh the fact that so many crap games work is probably because they didn't really need to do anything special to emulate them, they just happened to work on the code they had.
