I'm on the reserve list. Balls to 'em though if not. It's taking place at a certain place where a certain event was once held.

I'm not touching the Wii until its proven to be worth having. After the failures that were the N64 and Gamecube you'd be crazy to buy this system at launch. Most people know dick about this console yet everyone is going to buy it? Worse still, nobody has played the games yet (apart from a few at E3 and some members of the press).
Madness.

Yeh, I'm not going to buy a Wii or any Nintendo product ever again because the Gamecube and the N64 didn't sell as much as the Xbox, Playstation I/II. FFS. I'm buying it because it is a brand new experience, not the same experience rehashed in HD with the excuse to bump the prices up.
Good arguement.

We havent played PS3 games yet but people are still gonna buy one... The wii promises to take gaming and add a lease of life to it.. no-one knows if it will Succeed but after the success that was the DS I'm willing to trust Nintendo again.. afterall I owe them for providing hours upon hours upon hours of entertainment.

In terms of number of units sold and using this as an indictor of success then I disagree with you. It all depends on how you define 'success'. Sure the N64 and Gamecube didn't sell as well as the Playstation and Playstation 2, but can you really say that two consoles that brought us some monumental titles (Mario 64 for example) and which also made a significant profit for Nintendo (which I'm sure is how they define success first and foremost) a failure. I don't think so.

Why is there so much negativity towards Nintendo sometimes?
If I think back to all the consoles Ive owned and games I have played over the years I always instantly remember the Nintendo classics.
Wii is going to be a revelation. Hopefully at the price points suggested for its release it should be a top seller this Christmas and hopefully offer a fresh new gaming experience. I have no doubt that Nintendo are going to do well with it.

I simply hope that not every single Wii game HAS to use the unique controller method because I fear it could get rather boring just like - despite being different - the EyeToy.
I still reckon that the Wii is suitable for party and multi-player games rather than the focus on single player and online play, which doesn't worry me as the GameCube was always a multi-player system for me.
Lets wait and see.
