And again, as Andrew pointed out the degree of difference you'll see depends on the scaler in your set and how good it is so I don't doubt you're seeing an improvement of sorts. I'm using the Toshiba 32Wlt68 (similar set to Andrew) which is notoriously good on that front so results will differ.
That photo of Colossus on NeoGAF is more than a little misleading. For one thing they image has been resized meaning you loose a tonne of fine detail and it's therefore not representative of what you'd see on screen.
Sounding like a stuck record here but as Andrew has pointed out, it does nothing to reduce the aliasing. You can make stills look better and yes there is a little bit more crispness to the image, but once it starts moving things can get messy.
I've tried to capture photo's of what I'm seeing, but it's difficult as my camera is pap. Imageshack also resized the image to fit your browser so click them for the full effect.
Anyway, here's SotC (could only get one decent shot sorry, the rest were blurred).
Check out the pillars and around the main character. Now imagine that moving
By far the better test was GoW II.
Start screen
Close up of Kratos' face
In game
Notice the mountain and pillars are really jagged.
Close ups of Kratos
Close-up of the mountain
Close-up of the chest
Again, imagine all that moving around and you get an idea of how bad it looks.Last edited by Spatial; 24-05-2007, 08:14.

I'll have another crack at it tonight, sure there's some all singing, all dancing solution soon to run all types of media.

I don't know anyone that's been able to get video streaming working. It comes up as "unsupported data" for everything, even videos I know the PS3 will play. (they work if I chuck them on a memory card)
Music and Pictures work fine, but it's very slow to navigate/load, especially compared to the 360.

Same here but my PS3 can't contact the PC.
"Access to the media server is not allowed. It is possible that the system name for this PS3 system "PS3-259" has not been registered. Check the settings for the media server".
Any ideas? I allowed it already as wellLast edited by Jebus; 24-05-2007, 08:59.
