Has everyone installed this new update ok? After installing, it wouldn't recognise my DS3 for 30 seconds or so & then I had to give a yes/no response if I wanted max resolution etc, plus it got rid of my Bioshock theme.

Yeah, installed no problem. In fact the menus in SSFT2HDR seem to respond better since I installed it.

BBC iplayer works nicely

Is there any way to get iPlayer properly full screen without faffing around zooming and scrolling it? You can click the stick in to get it almost there, but it still has the bar at the bottom, and it doesn't seem to hide the pointer so you have to resize it a bit manually, then move the pointer off screen trying not to scroll it.

Japanese Playstation network has an new update I hope it`s Street Fighter II HD. (Fingers crossed). This update best not brick my PS3 bad enough with the Winning Eleven 2009 small freezing problem.

What's this freezing problem on WE2009 you talk about? I take it there's no real reason to invest in WE2009 if I already have PES, then?

DivX 3.11 support is a good move! =)

As someone pointed out in the comments section of that link, since .mkv is the standard container for DivX 7 format files, we can finally expect .mkv support at some point!

Does anyone know what version of divx is was before then? what benefits does 3.11 have over the previous PS3 divx?

DivX is on to version 7. This firmware allows the playing of older DivX encoded movies by the look of it, the preferred version of most pirates.

Does this mean I can watch my movies on my TV instead of on my laptop using the media server side of the PS3? I'm not very knowledgable on this subject and have been using WMP11 to do it so far.
