Options that cannot be used in-game...? So that'd be most of it, then?

I really, really wish Sony had never bothered implementing custom soundtrack support in any fashion: it's an absolute headache constantly thinking this game or that game would be awesome with music X and then being reminded you can't do that. With anything. So many pointless little things they get right, and yet this, nothing.

I welcome being able to have the option to browse the net whilst in a game. Get stuck in a game, wanna check gamefaqs like a big fat cheat? BOOM! I'm on it!!! Seriously, I like it.

It's done properly in SF4 apparently (i.e. You bring up the XMB and select the playlist you want to play... and it plays!) - hopefully more will use it. To be honest they should have mandated it along with the trophies.

I never change the music in games myself though. I never play the same game long enough to get bored with what's there, although I'm thinking that might change with SF4.

Excellent for soundtracks. Give it five years and nobody will have any great memories about game music at all. Who can still remember the music from SF2? Well, it seems unlikely for 4.....

I do, I'll be using the SF2 and SSF2 soundtracks over the SF4 one.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

With SFIV, I would of liked it if they did track replacement options like found in PES2009. It lists all the events, stages etc and you just select the tracks you would like to play from your HD instead.

Gah, I've just spent ages re-working my mp3s so I could do this with SF4.

I always liked the idea of custom soundtracks when they were first announced by Microsoft but I was completely bored of them after no more than 10 minutes.

I don't need custom soundtracks in my games any more than I do in my films.

I hate listening to music playing games, mainly, I'd rather listen to the actual game music.

Custom soundtracks in films?! Brilliant idea.
Thought Matrix was a bit **** but liked the visuals. Watch it with the Godfather soundtrack!!!

That sounds like those awful things you used to be able to get on Disney DVDs where they'd give the kids a few scenes/sounds to re-arrange into their own short film.

It'll be custom words in books next. I can see the marketing blurb already, "interactive literature" which'll actually be a blister packed book with a pen included so you can "customise your reading experience to make it different each time".

Sent out to Netflix customers in the US. I would be interested but the with the problems that Europe has with films online I don't we'd really get a satisfactory service.

new firmware update tomorrow possibly, to coincide with the resistance 2 (meh) update, main feature being you can log in two people at once for co-op online business.

I think it'll be 2.7 with all the other features too though, that'd be nice.

Does the 360 Netflix service even support the UK yet? Also, I hope that disc installs something - screw having to put that in all the time (Not that we'll ever see it over here...).

Not sure but there's just so many issues in this region concerning publishing & licensing rights for films that it'll probably take years before we are on the same level as the US. That's why we're still the only region not to have films on the PSN.

According to the PlayStation Blog concerning the R2 update, the 2 player log in is already available. There's loads of info on that link about the R2 update.
