Anyway, I reckon the boat will sink. It's never going to see release.

Dunno if I believe any of that.....from the Sony reps that brought you last years pre-Christmas release pony....

This total launch chaos seems to say to me that the game was still being delayed and delayed by Polyphony, to the point where it would have slipped to the start of next year. I think Sony put their foot down and said it has to be out this Christmas whatever happens, hence the insane dash to duplicate and ship discs worldwide without even being able to give a proper release date ('it's out when it's out').

This is just a fiasco. Imagine MS doing all this with a new Halo.
I doubt if this is staged. If some heads turn out to roll after GT's in stores we know it wasn't
Its also going to be hard to explain the Standard model things etc to a lot of consumers. This game simply contains no more than 200 cars. The others are being imported from GT4. Which means there are hardly any recent cars? Is the new Focus RS or Scirocco even in? I love those.
From what I gather, this game sounds like its unfinished even though it offers more than most games. If it were for Yamauchi, we would get this by the year 20-**** knows.Last edited by saturn-gamer; 11-11-2010, 15:20.

It's been pretty tame on here but there's been some fantastic reactions on some sites.
I think it's been more than worth waiting an extra month just to get the reactions from the people who've been going all daft about the delay. There's some fantastic conspiracy theories out there which seem to all ignore what's actually known.
I'm half hoping that other games get a bit of a delay like this one now just for the bewildering reaction that a few people seem to have in reaction to almost anything happening on the internet.

Ah, so you started that one then!
Joking, that's exactly the sort of thing that I meant though and it certainly doesn't apply to this game. I don't understand where it comes from it's this internet idea where people seem to think they're owed something when things like this happen.
One of the ones that seems to be doing the rounds is that "Sony have to give me free DLC now because I've been waiting for 5 years, stupid marketing people". It goes on like that.
If they release it tomorrow, I'm happy with that and it'll be my choice to buy it or not at that time. If it's not released for another five years, I'll decide then to buy it or not. It seems to be a general internet attitude rather than anything to do with this game...but I'm taking it of topic there.

Yeah but add things up and its a bit unusual. Stig is also gone and replaced by just top gear races.
GAF are pretty much retarded, but people out there are waiting for this game for ages. Then it gets THIS close, and whoop there it goes. I can understand the frustration.
Yeh its been delayed only twice. But Kaz shot at a boatload of possible release windows before. It's Sony that promised its fans a new announcement before November and they didn't. If they did, no one would react like the lot of them do now as there would be no reason to speculate. Which could be deliberate on Sony's side to keep GT on the front pages while they're working on a new launch.
