I'll have both bases covered by GT5 and RR7

O.K I`m movin back to England soon, but still need a Japanese vers of GT5 to transfer my cars from Prologue and GT PSP. I can transfer all these cars correct? If not I`ll buy the European vers.

Money isn't a problem, I just can't decide. I think I'll play NFS more as I have a lot of people expecting to pick it up at release, but GT is car porn. I feel like I need to choose yet I can't, so I probably won't.

I also have more than enough to be getting on with, as always.

I ended up ordering the Signature Edition which I sort of suspected I would.

It's not been confirmed whether you'll need the PSP game to be from the same region as your copy of GT5.

The US version of Assassin's Creed Bloodlines on my US PSP was able to share data to unlock extra content on the UK version of Assassin's Creed II that I had and the same was able to be done with Resistance 2 and Resistance Retribution.

That doesn't mean it's going to be like that on all games but I've tried two and both have worked.

In reference to transferring cars from GTP to GT5, I can't remember her name but a Sony rep at a couple of the shows did state that you could but it doesn't appear to have been mentioned by anybody else.

It unfortunately seems to be quite common for reps at shows to not really understand what it is they're trying to sell and although it may be true, I'm thinking that she may have just confused the two games.

Although I've unlocked all the Prologue cars and I've unlocked nearly 1600 cars (Because I NEED to have five differently coloured Jensen Interceptor MkIIIs in my collection ) I'm seriously tempted to not bother transferring them and just starting a new collection.

            EDIT:
A couple of screen shots taken from GTPlanet using the in-game photo mode.

It's a shame the YouTube uploader isn't available yet as we'd be able to see some decent replays if it was live.

i thought the transfer from portable to GT5 was only for arcade mode, although i do have a reasonable collection, i'm not too fussed if thats all it is.
my prologue is japanese though, so i got a pal save off gamefaqs and stuck it on my hard drive. hopefully that will work, and perhaps get me a few extra credits at the start or something.

Because most of it will be pointless/worthless crap when GT6 comes out!

You're in the same boat as me Julian, however I am already here!

I assume you will need all three titles to be Region 2 NTSC-J for this here transferring. JPN GT PSP cannot connect to a PAL or NTSC-U/C version for multiplayer, which is what I am basing my assumption on.
                  Kept you waiting, huh?

I thought the fancy one cost ?150? Surely that's enough reason not to get it.

I'll put that extra ?110 toward a Logitech G25 ta.

I know that photo modes in recent games do all sorts to the graphics to push them above what the console is capable of in realtime, but this is still incredible:

God...ever since the whole Lik-Sang/SCEE fiasco over the PSP, I've been super-strict about refusing to purchase brand-new SCEE hard/software on point of principle, but GT5 is seriously tempting me to break that pledge.

                              Must...stay...strong...
