I agree on Forza being a snorefest, mostly judging on Forza 2 though. The career setup used to be very poor, racing 16 laps on Silverstone with just 8 cars during event 1 and then yet again during event 3. The fantasy tracks were very poor too, not a patch on Polyphony's Deep Forest etc.
On the whole GT crushes Forza. I think that last-gen GT4 is actually a far better product than Forza 2 and 3 are together.
But Forza did nail its car roster, imo. Loved going about in the F355 challenge and classic BMW M3 amongst others. I think it had a good balance regarding manufacturers from all continents and hoped future GTs would 'westernize' this particular thing a bit more too.
Another thing I noticed, is the Piazza del Campo/Siena track still in? It was still there at Gamescom in what looked like a pretty much finished state. Maybe its a sign that the track list is far from complete still.
