I have just bought my first ever arcade stick - a Mad Catz SSF4 TE Round 2

It seems to be working great, but I have noticed that if I rotate the stick round the edges slowly I can feel a slight 'bump' between down and down/left (18:00-19:30 on a clock) and I just wondered if this is normal? If not what could it be? If its normal thats fine...its just that all the other angles seem to be quite smooth, all 8 angles click at each position. I have never used an arcade stick before so have nothing to compare it to Any info/advice would be much appreciated.

In case others aren't aware you can get the Tatsunoko Wii stick from gameseek for £14.74 + £1.99 postage:

I know this should maybe go in the Bargains forum but I thought it would more likely be seen by those who would be interested here.

I've been generally browsing the forums every now and then here for years so Hello and thanks for all the advice you've unknowingly given me!

So after some horrible trouble with me Madcatz TE I had to send it back and get a refund as the stock has gone.

I'm looking to get an HRAP Ex and was wondering whether the transparent screw in seimitsu buttons will fit (http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/products/PS-14-KN.htm)

The non-screw in ones seem to be hard to find now but I really like the transparent effect on them.

They'll fit fine. The cheapy hori buttons are of the same size iirc so you just need to pop the new buttons in.

Excellent news! Had read somewhere that I needed the push in ones but if I can use screw ins as well then joy! Cheers.

I think as long as they are 30mm they will fit fine.

The HRAP EX-SE has Seimitsu as standard I think so if you can find a link to the button spec then you can be double sure.

Just had a look & arcadeshop.de have alot of Seimitsu buttons in stock including some Opalescent ones which look awesome...

Might consider switching out the Sanwa's in my TE for a few...some wicked colours there.

All sanwa and seimitsu are 30mm, cept 24mm and 40mm ones.. >_>

Only like, Korean buttons are 28mm.

Soundwave: Be cautious of the seimitsu, I don't like em as much as sanwa. Though, I like stupidly responsive buttons.

Lol just to help confuse the poor boy

I've always fancied giving the Seimitsu a go to see if they was any difference...I still covet the HRAP EX-SE for that reason

Might pop a wanted thread on AO for some & give them a try then if I don't get on just swap back to the Sanwa's & pass the Seimitsu's on.

The only issue regarding screw-ins on the HRAP is with the button that's nearest to the joystick. There's very little clearance for the button's locking nut because of the stick's mounting plate. It'll fit fine with a bit of effort though (slide/force the nut into place before attempting to fit the button, then screw the button "into" it).

With Sanwa screw-ins, the locking nut is a lot deeper in size and useless unless you make it thinner by filing or sanding it, or just simply throw it away and use a Seimitsu locking nut instead.

I just bent that bit of metal on my TE. Also you can screw the button into the nut as an alternative.

                                Lol that's the way forward

So you prefer the LS then??

Is it easy to swap the JLF out of the TE??
Might even consider a full change to test the waters
