As long as you get an LS-32-01 it's a simple matter of unscrewing it and flipping the jst connector.

Nah not really.. Mine was ?15 new on Neo Empire. It'd be like ?25 from Gremlin, best to ask on AO. Make sure you get an -01 too.

I'm looking to get an HRAP Ex and was wondering whether the transparent screw in seimitsu buttons will fit (http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/products/PS-14-KN.htm)

The non-screw in ones seem to be hard to find now but I really like the transparent effect on them.

Here's my Rap Ex mate with the buttons you speak of, plus i swapped out the stick for an LS32.

Did this as i find the colour scheme of the RAP EX SE a bit ****.

I've changed the rug since that pic for a burnt orange one too.

Ok thanks guys. Should be fine with those screw ins then. Anyone know of any pics of this closest button to joystick issue so I can get an idea of what I'll have to do?

As you can see, the mounting bracket will obstruct the fitment of a locking nut in the normal fashion, so you'll have to put the nut in position first by squeezing it under the mounting bracket, then screw in the button from the other side of the panel.

I did not realise the Hori V3/VX SA's were released properly in the US! If eBay is anything to go buy you can get them shipped here for about £125. Why am I tempted?

edit: or you can buy direct from Amazon.com, pre-pay customs, and have it within 2-4 days for £120 :O

weeee my hrap ex arrived. Going to play with it for a few days to decide just what I'm going to keep and gut. Think it's probably going to just be the buttons.

Well after a quick play I like the layout and stick but those buttons are urgh.

Going to be swapping them out sooner than I anticipated!

Got the HRAP EX SE today. £120 shipped from the US to Norway. Stiff price (they are out of print after all), true, and I could have bought a HRAP EX cheaper, but I'd have to swap the buttons out for Seimitsu anyway, and since the EX SE comes with Seimitsu parts... Yeah! Love this thing.
