OMFG. It's like the BBC actually have a vendetta against anyone and everyone on this board. They continue to deliberately bait us! </nerd rage>

The room thing is a major concern for me too. Six foot is just in front of my sofa, which sounds okay-ish for single player games, but multiplayer sounds like it just wouldn't work. Part of the big sell for Kinnect is the ease of use - no clutter, no controllers, just go! If I have to move the sofa, that part of it is completely lost.
In theory it's not a disaster, but given that the launch games are all family games that will be fun in short bursts, having to lug a sofa around every time is an obstacle too many.
A shame, as I really like a lot of what I've seen from the Giant Bomb Quick Looks and other videos. A number of the games have a lot of charm.
Out of interest, does anyone know if the distance issue is down to the low res of the camera? If they brought out an upgraded Kinnect in the future with a better camera, would the distance thing go away or is it just an inherent issue with the tech?

I see the rumour that Kinnect games will be cheaper didn't materialise. They are all ?39.99 in HMV.
Space issue aside, part of me would still like to buy the thing, but that's sealed the deal for me now. I'd want at least two extra games to justify the purchase. HMV are discounting by ?10 if you buy a Kinnect and a game together, but that's still ?200 for essentially three games.
So no Kinnect for me until it's either tweaked to be fine in a smaller space, it's cheap enough as a package not to really matter or there is a killer single player game I can't live without. Shame as the family would love it, but we still have the Wii and Rock Band.
Even if Kinnect sells well, I can't see some of these games being the like the evergreen Nintendo titles. Some of them will be ?10 after six months.

My Dance Central & Kinect Sports just arrived from Microsoft. I've got the day off Friday so I'm going to have to work out what order to play them in.
I'm loving Kinect!! I have to move my sofa in order to have enough room to play but that's a small price to pay for the laughing that ensues.
