PSVita (Successor to PSP, was PSP2 then NGP)

I bought asphalt 7 for iOS this morn and it's a virtually identical port from the vita version. Only major difference is ios version has better car detail and lighting. I paid ?17 for vita version and 69p for improved version on my iPad. Its a worrying sign how fast phones and tablets are catching and overtaking the handhelds. Take a look at the new Amazing Spiderman game for ios from game loft. It's got the full free roam experience from the home console versions while the activision 3ds version has stuck indoors levels

I'd normally say Gameloft games are utter ****e so you got ripped off twice buying Asphalt for Vita then again on iOS, even at 69p but I actually really liked Dungeon Hunter Alliance. If we were to disregard price all together, I know I personally would rather play those games on a Vita anyway.

I will always favour controls and vita asphalt plays miles better than iOS because of that. No what worries me is was the vita version a port from work in progress iOS asphalt 7. When i saw vita FIFA I was really happy and relieved to see it was taking full advantage of the vita power and wasn't (what I feared it might be) an iOS port. I just hope FIFA 13 and NFS hot pursuit are dedicated vita titles and ea don't lapse into porting. In previous pages we discussed the vita Lego games. They are ports from 3ds which are ports from DS.
Given the current state of vita sales will ea justify a separate team for FIFA and NFS for vita when the iOS versions are rapidly closing in fr a graphical point of view with what we see now on vita

Well it's just exactly what we already knew - the Vita version is the 'handheld' version, like the previous Vita Lego games, the 3DS Lego games and the later PSP Lego games before it. And that means it's a separately-developed game based around the same stuff, all tailored for the lowest specs of the gaming spread: the DS.

The Vita version is a port of the 3DS version like LEGO HP 5-7 was.

Sub-HD graphics, compressed audio, really badly compressed cutscenes, no open world like it's console big brothers.

IGN say it isn't bad but it could have been so much better.

It's confirmed that Lego Batman 2 on vita is a 3DS port with no open world gameplay. The comments by users are not from happy campers. It seems a few of them bought the vita version expecting a ps3 port.

I bet a fiver NFS hot pursuit for Vita is a 3DS or IOS port. FIFA 13 probably won't be as they have the Vita specific engine already built from the previous title. Hope I am wrong on NFS though
