If they do a value pack, that's when I'll probably pick up a copy. If it was Vita and a 32GB memory card (with maybe some PSN credit, ?20 or so) for ?229.99, I'd pay that.

I had one pre-ordered, but with the add-ons just wasn't worth it , especially when there's less than 5 games announced for the console I'm even interested in.

ok, so you can switch accounts, but you need a memory card for each account....

not ideal, but it can be done:

So, like the PSP but even more difficult. Awesome!

yeah unfortunately, but at least you can leave your data on the card - you dont need to format that...

Pre order in for Feb 22nd (my birthday feb 23rd so yay!) went for a wifi model, 4gb card, Everybody's Golf and Uncharted. Choosing games to pre order was the hardest part, not much I really wanted so went for Uncharted to 'show off' the system. I've never played Uncharted before so I hope I enjoy it? It's like Tomb Raider with a bloke yeh??

So unless you care about the trophies, you can just grab a card for each region?

Yes it does, but you are locked to your PSN account's region as far as I know

I was also mortified to see the Vita Motorstorm is an isometric view Micro Machines style game. I can't wait to get Vita at launch but it's all looking a bit gloomy. Hoping Sony turn it around like Nintendo did with 3DS

decided against purchasing one at launch, too steep a price ?300 with a game and memory card is more than a PS3! Plus poor reports coming out of Japan and IGN reporting that it could already be like some have said "Dead in the Water" i just dont fancy it.

Yes, the Vita is dead, I have already buried mine in the backyard

They already have these in Asia (outside of Japan). I got a WiFi model official 'Value Pack' that included the system, a copy of Uncharted, and an 'accessory pack' consisting of the official case, official card case, screen wipe, screen protector and a 4GB memory card. All for 230 quid in Taiwan. Pretty good

(got Katamari on the side too haha)

I think they will cut the price sooner than one might espect. With PS3 they went with all those combo deals that didn't set the charts on fire and kept hurting Sony. That was because the loss was already 200 USD per console to begin with.

Sony should have some more room with the Vita, making the biggest cash on proprietary memory cards anyway. The situation is worse than with the PSP due to the higher entry price, weaker support and the rise of tablets etc. The Vita seems to be aimed at that crowd. And Sony itself, every of its division is bleeding. Its not the company from 2004.

With region locked online I wonder how many players you will encounter in a European version of Everybody's Golf.

Sony need to fast track Vita God Of War and Gran Turismo I reckon. They also need to get a real Motorstorm in development.

I also think they need to release an HDMI cable for it. I know they don't want to canabalise PS3 time and sales on home TVs but it would be a big selling point
