Limited Edition Monster Hunter Tri G 3DS also announced. I'm gonna wind up buying this ****ing thing in December despite already having a 3DS, I know it.

Kinda weird the console pack doesn't come with the slide pad thing as well, or even matches the colour. =_=

At least Nintendo are still giving out free stuff to the people who have kept their's.

After the GBA games are released it will mean they have given away around 100 pounds worth of games free to people.

Thats very nice of them IMO and a nice reward for people who have had patientice with the system.

is the free stuff old GBA games? I would assume most gamers on her would have a modded psp with the full GBA rom set on it.

That's a massive assumption, I don't have a PSP and am not into modding consoles for piracy. I have played emulators on the PC for years but the GBA feels too new for that, plus it's a handheld so I'd still like to play it's games on one. Some of the free games I've already played but some I always wanted to play and never got round to, some people might never have had a GBA. I'm really looking forward to them.

no one is suggesting you mod your console for piracy, but I doubt the publishers are losing much money now because GBA roms are downloaded nowadays - infact its probably a beneficial marketing tool to generate interest in future 3ds games, as many of the franchises are identical. (which is probably why they are being given away free in the first place)

I think alot of people are pissed off, having spent over ?200 on the console and games, only to find hardly any strong first party support, what accounts to drip feed of decent titles and n64 rehashes. Thank *uck i got rid of mine before the price fall..

I understand but when do we ever have a good deal on a launch machine??
Every launch console suffers the same problems lack of titles/rushed titles,game title droughts,rushed hardware
I know that when you buy a launch machine which is first generation you never truly get a fair deal
I've recently bought a 3d Panasonic plasma which is 14th generation and I know if I had bought a first gen 3d plasma I wouldn't have had the features I have on my plasma now
I have to admit I am a gaming nut and I used to be a big importer(had to have the latest technology)and I love Microsoft,Sony,nintendo and once sega but I wouldn't put a machine down for the sake of it
Anyway back to gaming chat I am really looking forward to Mario 3d land and Mario kart both I played at the eurogamer show
Both titles to me played superb as did kid icarus and resident evil revelations.
Also SKY 3D was being shown running on the 3ds and the golf and football looked quite nice so nintendo are trying different avenues

I imagine Nintendo is planning on selling the GBA games for at least a fiver each to the people who arent elliable to get them free (perhpase more considering the GB color games are over a fiver). So no, what you are suggesting is not why they are free. They are giving them away free to only certain people and it is to make up for the fact that the machine has had a huge price drop after loads of us paid full whack for one.

like I said its about ?100 worth of free stuff, but if you havent stuck by Nintendo and the 3DS then you won't recieve any of it.

As I said earlier, personally, as someone who still has my launch 3DS, I think its very nice of them to do it.

The PSP - now there's a console I'm glad I sold before the price came down! The 3DS has had a far better first 6 months or so than that did, games wise. In fact you could argue that it's already surpassed the PSP's software line up. I'm surprised you didn't sell that too.

Nope Nintendo has said that the gba games they are going to give away will not be available to buy on the eshop later.

Well thats what they announced, they said the gba games would be only available to the people in the ambassador program. Can't say im that fussed really as i own most of the gba games i wanted in cart form. Since downloading the nes ones i have played maybe a few mins on each of them tops.
